Abstract

A system ( 100 ) comprises an aerosol provision system ( 10 ) provided with control circuitry configured to monitor one or more conditions of the aerosol provision system, to determine based on the one or more conditions whether the aerosol provision system has been lost by an owner of the aerosol provision system, and to trigger a lost event on the aerosol provision system to indicate that the aerosol provision system is lost. The one of more conditions may comprise an amount of light proximate to the aerosol provision system, an orientation of the aerosol provision system, an amount of current received from an external power supply, a temperature of the aerosol provision system, or the status of a network connection with a wireless network or an external device.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An aerosol provision system comprising control circuitry configured to
monitor one or more conditions of the aerosol provision system; determine, based on the one or more conditions, the aerosol provision system has been lost by an owner of the aerosol provision system; and trigger a lost event on the aerosol provision system to indicate that the aerosol provision system is lost.

2 . The aerosol provision system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more conditions comprises at least one of:
an amount of light proximate to the aerosol provision system measured by an optical sensor of the aerosol provision system; an orientation of the aerosol provision system measured by an accelerometer of the aerosol provision system; an amount of current received from an external power supply measured by a current sensor of the aerosol provision system; a temperature of the aerosol provision system measured by a temperature sensor of the aerosol provision system; and a status of a network connection with a wireless network or an external device.

3 . The aerosol provision system of claim 1 , wherein determining the aerosol provision system has been lost is further based upon condition information stored in a database, wherein the condition information comprises correlations between previous conditions of the aerosol provision system and previous determinations that the aerosol provision system had been lost.

4 . The aerosol provision system of claim 3 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to update the database based on the one or more conditions and the trigger event.

5 . The aerosol provision system of claim 1 , wherein the lost event comprises sending an indication that the aerosol provision system is lost to an external device.

6 . The aerosol provision system of claim 1 , wherein the lost event further comprises disabling electrical power to an aerosol generator

7 . The aerosol provision system of claim 1 , wherein the control circuitry is further configured to determine a location of the aerosol provision system in response to determining the aerosol provision system is lost.

8 . The aerosol provision system of claim 7 , wherein the location of the aerosol provision system is determined based using a GPS interface of the aerosol provision system.

9 . The aerosol provision system of claim 7 , wherein the location of the aerosol provision system is determined based on one or more signals received from an external device.

10 . The aerosol provision system of claim 7 , wherein the lost event comprises sending an indication of the location of the aerosol provision system to an external device.

11 . An aerosol provision device for an aerosol provision system comprising control circuitry configured to:
monitor one or more conditions of the aerosol provision system; determine, based on the one or more conditions, the aerosol provision system has been lost by an owner of the aerosol provision system; and trigger a lost event on the aerosol provision system to indicate that the aerosol provision system is lost.

12 . A method for operating an aerosol provision system comprising:
monitoring one or more conditions of the aerosol provision system; determining, based on the one or more conditions, the aerosol provision system has been lost by an owner of the aerosol provision system; and triggering a lost event on the aerosol provision system to indicate that the aerosol provision system is lost.

13 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising instructions which, when executed, perform a method comprising:
monitoring one or more conditions of the aerosol provision system; determining, based on the one or more conditions, the aerosol provision system has been lost by an owner of the aerosol provision system; and triggering a lost event on the aerosol provision system to indicate that the aerosol provision system is lost.
