Abstract

A refrigerator includes a main body, a first storage chamber and a second storage chamber provided inside the main body with front sides thereof open. An evaporator is arranged inside the main body and is configured to generate cold air and arranged behind the first storage chamber. A first duct is configured to supply the cold air generated from the evaporator to the first storage chamber and a second duct is configured to supply cold air to the second storage chamber. A connection duct is configured to connect the first duct and the second duct to cause the cold air inside the first duct to flow into the second duct, and a damper is configured to selectively open and close the connection duct. The damper is provided inside the first duct, and the second duct has a flat front surface.

1 . A refrigerator comprising:
 a main body;   a first storage chamber and a second storage chamber in the main body;   an evaporator configured to generate cold air and arranged inside the main body;   a first duct configured to supply a portion of the cold air generated by the evaporator, to the first storage chamber and another portion of the cold air to a connection duct, connecting the first duct to a second duct so that the other portion of the cold air inside the first duct flows into the second duct via the connection duct, the second duct configured to supply the other portion of the cold air to the second storage chamber; and   a damper configured to selectively open and close the connection duct to control the flow of the other portion of the cold air to the second duct, the damper being provided inside the first duct, and the second duct having a flat front surface.
