Refrigerator
Abstract
A refrigerator includes a first tray assembly defining a portion of an ice making cell and a second tray assembly defining another portion of the ice making cell. The refrigerator includes a pusher provided with a first edge on which a surface configured to press one or more of the first and second tray assemblies is disposed to easily separate the ice from the tray assemblies, a bar extending from the first edge, and a second edge disposed at an end of the bar. At least one of the pusher or the second tray assembly moves so as to change a relative position between the pusher and the second tray assembly.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An ice maker comprising:
a tray assembly including a tray; a cell in which water is phase-changed into ice, the tray defining a first portion of the cell; a pusher configured to separate the ice during an ice separation process, and including a pushing bar, the pushing bar being configured to push out the ice disposed in the cell during the ice separation process; a cover configured to define a space accommodating at least a portion of the ice maker, wherein the cover includes a first surface, and a third wall spaced a predetermined distance from the first surface, an accommodation space being formed between the first surface and the third wall, wherein the pushing bar includes a first edge on which a pressing surface pressing the ice or the tray in the ice separation process is disposed, and a second edge disposed opposite to the first edge, and wherein at least one of a position, a portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.
2 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the pusher is controlled to be moved in the accommodation space.
3 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the portion of the pusher is a second edge of the pusher.
4 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the cover further includes a second wall having a portion extending from the first surface of the cover and disposed between the first surface of the cover and the third wall of the cover, and
wherein the second wall forms the first surface of the cover.
5 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the cover further includes a first wall extending in a first direction and forming the first surface of the cover.
6 . The ice maker of claim 1 , further comprising a guide which the pusher moves along.
7 . The ice maker of claim 1 , further comprising a bracket configured to define at least a portion of a space that accommodates the tray assembly,
wherein the first surface defines at least one of a support surface supporting the bracket.
8 . The ice maker of claim 1 , further comprising a bracket including a wall having a portion extending in a direction,
wherein the bracket includes a fixing wall to be fixed to the first surface of the cover, and wherein the first surface defines at least one of a surface supported by the fixing wall.
9 . The ice maker of claim 1 , further comprising an additional tray assembly, the additional tray assembly including an additional tray defining a second portion of the cell.
10 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein the additional tray assembly moves to an ice making position such that the ice starts to be made in the cell, and wherein at the ice making position, the portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.
11 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein the additional tray assembly moves to an ice separation position in a direction so as to take out the ice in the cell when the ice is made in the cell, and
wherein at the ice separation position, the portion of the pusher is disposed outside the accommodation space.
12 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein the additional tray assembly moves to an ice separation position in a direction so as to take out the ice in the cell when the ice is made in the cell, and
wherein at the ice separation position, a distance between the portion of the pusher and the first surface of the cover is less than a distance between the portion of the pusher and the third wall of the cover.
13 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein the additional tray assembly moves to a water supply position such that the water starts to be supplied, and
wherein at a water supply position, the portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.
14 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein at least one of a period when the tray has a portion contacting with the additional tray, the portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.
15 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein at least one of a period when the tray has a portion spaced apart from the additional tray, the portion of the pusher is disposed outside the accommodation space.
16 . The ice maker of claim 9 , wherein at least one of a period when the tray has a portion spaced apart from the additional tray, a distance between the portion of the pusher and the first surface of the cover is less than a distance between the portion of the pusher and the third wall of the cover.
17 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein at least one of a period when the ice is made in the cell, the portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.
18 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein at least one of a period when the ice is separated from the tray, the portion of the pusher is disposed outside the accommodation space.
19 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein at least one of a period when the ice is separated from the tray, a distance between the portion of the pusher and the first surface of the cover is less than a distance between the portion of the pusher and the third wall of the cover.
20 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein at least one of a period when the water is supplied to the cell, the portion of the pusher is disposed in the accommodation space.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
