Abstract

A carpet cutting apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises wheels and carpet strand guard. The carpet cutting apparatus comprises a main body having a flat portion between an anterior raised portion and a posterior raised portion. The anterior raised portion has conical pointed front and provides means to attach a carpet cutting blade. The anterior raised portion has been modified to a carpet strand guard on the top of the carpet cutting blade. The carpet strand guard keep the carpet strands on the blade until they are cut. The carpet cutting blade engages within a blade holder having grooves along the vertical plane or slating line by means of plurality of screws. The engagement may be without any screws. An anchor hook is configured on the flat top triangular portion of the anterior raised portion which may engage a cable hook.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A carpet cutting apparatus comprising:
 a main body having a flat portion positioned between an anterior raised portion and a posterior raised portion; a pair of wheels attached to an axle or shaft at a posterior bottom end of the main body, enabling the rotation of the wheels and supporting the weight of the carpet cutting apparatus,
 the axle carries the pair of wheels at both ends, aiding in maintaining an optimal cutting angle and adjusting a tip angle, wherein the anterior raised portion having:
 a conical pointed front and means for attaching a carpet cutting blade, the carpet cutting blade is mounted on either a vertical or slanting line.

   a carpet strand guard located on the top of the carpet cutting blade to retain carpet strands until cut, the carpet cutting blade is mounted on either a vertical or slanting line; and an anchor hook is configured on the flat top triangular portion of the anterior raised portion to engage a cable hook for securing the carpet cutting apparatus during use.

         2 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising grooves along the vertical plane or slanting line for the engagement of the carpet cutting blade within a blade holder by using a plurality of screws.

         3 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 2 , wherein the engagement of the carpet cutting blade within a blade holder is accomplished without the use of screws, utilizing a push and fit mechanism.

         4 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the posterior raised portion includes a screw on the top for releasing an engagement means.

         5 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the wheels are removable, facilitating easy replacement or maintenance.

         6 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the main body having a flat portion includes a handle mounting panel for attaching a removable handle using screws.

         7 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the handle is configured to be elongated to variant lengths, allowing for customization to a user's preference.

         8 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 6 , wherein the handle is removable and engaged with a handle receiver that features a male-female type fitting arrangement.

         9 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the anterior raised portion of the main body includes a front cutting blade and a front attachment means with a pointed and slanted tip for puncturing the carpet during cutting.

         10 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a winch connected to a first end of a cable, and a diverter configured to receive the cable at a location between the first end and a second end of the cable and divert the direction of extension of the cable.

         11 . The carpet cutting apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the second end of the cable is connected to the anchor hook of the carpet cutting apparatus, enabling efficient carpet removal.

         12 . A method for carpet cutting and pulling, the method comprising:
 attaching a cable to a winch at a first end of the cable; utilizing a carpet cutting apparatus; diverting the cable's direction of extension using a diverter, positioned between the first end and a second end of the cable; connecting the second end of the cable to the anchor hook of the carpet cutting apparatus; and operating the winch to facilitate carpet cutting and pulling.

         13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the winch is operated to apply tension on the cable, enabling efficient and controlled carpet cutting and removal.

         14 . A system for carpet removal, the system comprising:
 a carpet cutting apparatus including:
 a main body having a flat portion between an anterior raised portion and a posterior raised portion;
 an anterior raised portion with a conical pointed front providing means to attach a carpet cutting blade;
 a carpet strand guard positioned on top of the carpet cutting blade, the carpet strand guard designed to retain carpet strands on the blade until cut;
 a pair of wheels attached to an axle or shaft at the posterior bottom end of the main body, enabling the rotation of the wheels and supporting the weight of the carpet cutting apparatus.
   a handle for guiding the cutting during carpet removal, the handle attached to a handle mounting panel on a flat portion of the main body.

         15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the wheels are removable, facilitating easy replacement or maintenance.

         16 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the carpet strand guard is detachable for maintenance or replacement purposes.

         17 . The system of claim 14 , further comprising a winch connected to a first end of a cable, and a diverter configured to receive the cable at a location between the first end and a second end of the cable and divert the direction of extension of the cable.

         18 . The system of claim 17 , wherein the second end of the cable is connected to the anchor hook of the carpet cutting apparatus, enabling efficient carpet removal.

         19 . The system of claim 14 , further comprising grooves along the vertical plane or slanting line for the engagement of the carpet cutting blade within a blade holder by using a plurality of screws.

         20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the engagement of the carpet cutting blade within a blade holder is accomplished without the use of screws, utilizing a push and fit mechanism.
