Abstract

An organic hydride production apparatus includes an electrolysis tank having an anode electrode for oxidizing water in an anolyte La to generate protons, a cathode electrode for hydrating a substance α to be hydrated in the cathode liquid Lc with protons to generate an organic hydride β, and a diaphragm positioned between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode, the diaphragm moving protons together with produced water W from the anode electrode side to the cathode electrode side; an anolyte supply part for supplying the anolyte La to the anode electrode; a water separation unit for separating the produced water W from a catholyte Lc sent from the cathode electrode; and a water return unit for sending the produced water W separated by the water separation unit to the anolyte supply part.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A control device structured to control an organic compound production device including an anode electrode and a cathode electrode to produce an organic compound,
wherein the control device sends water accumulated in a lower part of a catholyte fed from the cathode electrode to an anolyte supplied to the anode electrode.

2 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the catholyte includes an oil.

3 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the catholyte includes an organic hydride.

4 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the control device is structured to detect an interface between the catholyte and the water and switch between a state in which transfer of the water to the anolyte is permitted and a state in which the transfer is regulated.

5 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the control device is structured to detect the interface and permit the transfer and to regulate the transfer after a predetermined time elapses.

6 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the control device is adapted to detect the interface at two positions at different heights, detect the interface at an upper position and permit the transfer, and detect the interface at a lower position and regulate the transfer.

7 . The control device according to claim 2 ,
wherein the water includes the oil, and wherein the control device separates the oil from the water and sends the water to the anolyte.

8 . The control device according to claim 7 ,
wherein the control device causes the water to flow through a filter that adsorbs the oil to separate the oil from the water.

9 . The control device according to claim 7 ,
wherein the control device cools or heats the water to separate the oil from the water.

10 . The control device according to claim 7 ,
wherein the control device flocculates the oil included in the water to separate the oil from the water.

11 . The control device according to claim 1 ,
wherein the control device supplies power to the organic compound production device.

12 . The control device according to claim 11 ,
wherein the power includes power originating from reusable energy.
