Abstract

Gosball, an invention in the sports field, is an indoor/outdoor game played by one or more player(s). The invention comprises players using a lifter (spoon-like device) to lift a ball from a bowl in point A (located in the base) and walk/run the ball along marked novel lines to a bucket in point B (located in the pit) on the other end of the playfield. A game consists of rounds and a round consists of lifts. The number of lifts depends on the number of balls in a bowl. Players decide the number of balls in a bowl. The goal is for players to walk/run as many balls as possible to the bucket to win a game. The player(s) with the most balls in bucket wins the game. The marked novel lines are designed to safely engineer creativity, strategic thinking, physical exercise, and fun.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 : A method of Advanced Gosball, comprising:
Players; interconnected straight-loop-zigzag-intersection lines; equipment (lifters, balls, bases, bowls, pits, buckets) in same size and weight; playfield size of 90 feet long by 45 feet wide; said players lift said ball from the said bowl and walk, run, pass, transfer said ball in said lifter along said interconnected straight-zigzag-loop-intersection lines from the direction of the said base to the direction of the said pit located in the said field to ditch said ball in said bucket in said pit; players with most said balls ditched or dumped into said bucket located in said pit in the shortest amount of time win the game. Advanced Gosball forces individuals and teams to think, plan and execute winning strategies while having fun and working out. Said straight-loop-zigzag-intersection lines as described herein are invented as novel mechanisms to cause (safely engineer) highly intense competition and induce behavioral effects in the players and the spectators.

2 : A method of Intermediate Gosball, comprising:
Players; interconnected straight-zigzag lines; equipment (lifters, balls, bases, bowls, pits, buckets) in same size and weight; playfield size of 60 feet long by 30 feet wide; said players lift said ball from the said bowl and walk, run, pass, transfer said ball in said lifter along said interconnected straight-zigzag lines from the direction of the said base to the direction of the said pit located in the said field; players with most said balls ditched or dumped into said bucket located in said pit in the shortest amount of time win the game. Intermediate Gosball forces individuals and teams to think, plan and execute winning strategies while having fun and working out. Said straight-zigzag lines as described herein are invented as novel mechanisms to cause complex competition and induce behavioral effects in said players and the spectators.

3 : A method of Basic Gosball, comprising:
Players; straight lines; equipment (lifters, balls, bases, bowls, pits, buckets) in same size and weight; playfield size of 30 feet long by 15 feet wide; said players lift said ball from the said bowl and walk, run, pass, transfer said ball in said lifter along said straight lines from the direction of the said base to the direction of the said pit located in the said field; players with most said balls ditched or dumped into said bucket located in said pit in the shortest amount of time win the game. Basic Gosball forces individuals and teams to think through and implement winning strategies while having fun and exercising. Said straight lines at the basic level as described herein are invented as novel mechanisms to cause simple competition and induce behavioral effects in said players and the spectators.
