Handrail Work Bench

Abstract

The present invention provides a handrail work bench generally comprising a plate and brackets adapted to hook onto a typical safety railing or fence, thereby providing a work platform or a seat for rest.

What is claimed as invention is: 
     
         1 . A handrail work bench comprising a plate and brackets, wherein said plate further comprises a throat adapted to accommodate the vertical member of a railing or fence and said brackets are adapted to accommodate horizontal members of said railing or fence. 
     
     
         2 . The handrail work bench of  claim 1 , wherein said plate further comprises a carrying handle. 
     
     
         3 . The handrail work bench of  claim 1  which further comprises a cushion. 
     
     
         4 . The handrail work bench of  claim 1  wherein said throat is essentially semi-circular to accommodate a round vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         5 . The handrail workbench of  claim 1  wherein said throat is essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         6 . The handrail workbench of  claim 4  wherein said brackets are essentially semi-circular to accommodate round horizontal members of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         7 . The handrail workbench of  claim 5  wherein said brackets are essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular horizontal member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         8 . A handrail work bench comprising a plate, brackets, and a cushion, wherein said plate further comprises a throat adapted to accommodate the vertical member of a railing or fence and a carrying handle, and said brackets are adapted to accommodate horizontal members of said railing or fence. 
     
     
         9 . The handrail work bench of  claim 8 , wherein said plate further comprises screw holes to accommodate screws for means of fastening two or more handrail work benches together. 
     
     
         10 . The handrail work bench of  claim 8  wherein said throat is essentially semi-circular to accommodate a round vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         11 . The handrail workbench of  claim 8  wherein said throat is essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         12 . The handrail workbench of  claim 10  wherein said brackets are essentially semi-circular to accommodate round horizontal members of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         13 . The handrail workbench of  claim 11  wherein said brackets are essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular horizontal member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         14 . A handrail work bench comprising a plate, brackets, and a cushion, wherein said plate further comprises a throat adapted to accommodate the vertical member of a railing or fence, a carrying handle, and screw holes to accommodate screws for means of fastening two or more handrail work benches together, and said brackets are adapted to accommodate horizontal members of said railing or fence. 
     
     
         15 . The handrail work bench of  claim 14  wherein said throat is essentially semi-circular to accommodate a round vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         16 . The handrail workbench of  claim 14  wherein said throat is essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular vertical member of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         17 . The handrail workbench of  claim 15  wherein said brackets are essentially semi-circular to accommodate round horizontal members of a railing or fence. 
     
     
         18 . The handrail workbench of  claim 16  wherein said brackets are essentially square to accommodate a square or rectangular horizontal member of a railing or fence.
