Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A pipe comprising a burning chamber, a stem attached to the chamber, the stem having a bore communicating with the chamber via a portal and through which smoke is inhaled in use of the pipe, wherein the chamber is formed of musical instrument mouthpiece, the stem attached to the mouthpiece such that the bore of the stem communicates with the interior of the mouthpiece.

2 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the stem comprises a lead tube of a musical instrument mouthpiece.

3 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the stem is attached to a side wall or periphery of the mouthpiece.

4 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the stem communicates with the interior of the mouthpiece via an opening through the side wall or periphery.

5 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the musical instrument mouthpiece further comprises an opening being separate from the portal, the opening removably sealed by a cap.

6 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the stem is permanently attached to the chamber.

7 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the stem is removably attached to the chamber.

8 . The pipe of claim 5 further comprising a stand apparatus removably attached to the musical instrument mouthpiece between the cap and mouthpiece, the stand apparatus cooperating with the stem to permit positioning the pipe on a flat surface such that the burning chamber is sufficiently perpendicular to the flat surface to prevent spillage of the contents thereof when left unattended, the stand apparatus comprising a ring defining an aperture through which the cap may pass, and further comprising a plurality of legs extending from the ring.

9 . The pipe of claim 1 wherein the musical instrument is a brass musical instrument mouthpiece selected from the group consisting of trombone, trumpet, French horn, euphonium, tuba, cornet, flügelhorn, tenor horn, alto horn, baritone horn, sousaphone, mellophone, saxhorn, bazooka, bugle, cornett, serpent, ophicleide, keyed bugle and keyed trumpet.

10 . The pipe of claim 8 wherein two legs extend from the ring, the two legs and a distal end of the stem forming a tripod.

11 . A pipe comprising a burning chamber, a stem attached to the chamber, the stem having a bore communicating with the chamber via a portal and through which smoke is inhaled in use of the pipe, wherein the chamber is formed of musical instrument mouthpiece, the stem attached to the mouthpiece such that the bore of the stem communicates with the interior of the mouthpiece; and
a stand apparatus removably attached to the musical instrument mouthpiece at a bottom of the mouthpiece, the stand apparatus cooperating with the stem to permit positioning the pipe on a flat surface such that the burning chamber is sufficiently perpendicular to the flat surface to prevent spillage of the contents thereof when left unattended.

12 . The pipe of claim 11 wherein the musical instrument mouthpiece further comprises an opening being separate from the portal, the opening removably sealed by a cap.

13 . The pipe of claim 11 the stand apparatus comprising a ring defining an aperture and further comprising a plurality of legs extending from the ring.

14 . The pipe of claim 12 the stand apparatus comprising a ring defining an aperture through which the cap may pass and further comprising a plurality of legs extending from the ring.

15 . The pipe of claim 11 wherein the stem is attached to a side wall or periphery of the mouthpiece.
