A footbed & system for placement of footbed accessories

Abstract

A footbed for guiding a user to place footbed accessories. The footbed includes a flexible elongate body configured to support an underside of a foot, the body having an upper surface configured to support the underside of the foot, and a lower surface opposed to the upper surface. The lower surface comprises a footbed accessory region providing a visual indication for placement of a footbed accessory within the footbed accessory region.

         22 . A footbed for guiding a user to place footbed accessories, the footbed comprising a flexible elongate body configured to support an underside of a foot, the body having:
 an upper surface configured to support the underside of the foot; and   a lower surface opposed to the upper surface,   wherein the lower surface comprises a footbed accessory region providing a visual indication for placement of a footbed accessory within the footbed accessory region,   wherein the footbed accessory region is not recessed, such that a surface of the footbed accessory region is level with the lower surface of the footbed surround the footbed accessory region and the surface of the footbed accessory region is not recessed within the footbed.   
     
     
         23 . The footbed according to  claim 22 , wherein the footbed accessory region is defined by a recessed portion surrounding the footbed accessory region. 
     
     
         24 . The footbed according to  claim 23 , wherein the recessed portion at least partially surrounds the footbed accessory region. 
     
     
         25 . The footbed according to  claim 23 , wherein the recessed portion completely surrounds the footbed accessory region. 
     
     
         26 . The footbed according to  claim 22 , wherein the footbed accessory region is defined by at least one of:
 a line or plurality of lines, wherein the line or plurality of lines partially surrounds or completely surrounds the footbed accessory region;   a colour or textured portion distinct from a colour of the lower surface of the footbed; and   a textured portion distinct from a texture of the lower surface of the footbed.

The footbed according to  claim 22 , wherein the footbed accessory region is a first footbed accessory region and the lower surface of the footbed comprises a second footbed accessory region providing a visual indication for placement of a second footbed accessory within the second footbed accessory region. 
     
     
         28 . The footbed according to  claim 27 , wherein the first footbed accessory region and the second footbed accessory region are contiguous and/or overlap. 
     
     
         29 . The footbed according to  claim 27 , wherein the first footbed accessory region is located along a medial side of the footbed. 
     
     
         30 . The footbed according to  claim 29 , wherein the first footbed accessory region is located along a midfoot region of the footbed on the medial side of the footbed. 
     
     
         31 . The footbed according to  claim 22 , wherein the first footbed accessory region extends from an arch support region of the footbed to at least halfway across the lower surface of the footbed. 
     
     
         32 . The footbed according to  claim 31 , wherein the first footbed accessory region extends from the arch support region to greater than halfway across the lower surface of the footbed toward a lateral side of the footbed. 
     
     
         33 . The footbed according to  claim 27 , wherein the second footbed accessory region is located on a forefoot portion of the footbed. 
     
     
         34 . The footbed according to  claim 33 , wherein the second footbed accessory region extends from approximately the midfoot region of the footbed to the forefoot region of the footbed. 
     
     
         35 . A system for placement of footbed accessories, the system comprising:
 a footbed comprising a flexible elongate body configured to support an underside of a foot, the body having:   an upper surface configured to support the underside of the foot; and   a lower surface opposed to the upper surface, the lower surface having a footbed accessory region providing a visual indication for placement of a footbed accessory within the footbed accessory region; and   a footbed accessory for placement and/or attachment on the lower surface of the footbed within the footbed accessory region,   wherein the footbed accessory region is not recessed, such that a surface of the footbed accessory region is level with the lower surface of the footbed surround the footbed accessory region and the surface of the footbed accessory region is not recessed within the footbed.   
     
     
         36 . The system according to  claim 35 , wherein the footbed accessory comprises at least one of an arch cookie; a metatarsal dome; and a forefoot support device. 
     
     
         37 . The system according to  claim 35 , the system for placement of footbed accessories further comprises a first footbed accessory and a second footbed accessory. 
     
     
         38 . The system according to  claim 37 , wherein each of the first footbed accessory and the second footbed accessory is removably placeable upon or attachable to the lower surface of the footbed. 
     
     
         39 . The system of  claim 35 , wherein the first footbed accessory comprises an arch cookie and the second footbed accessory comprises a metatarsal dome or forefoot support device. 
     
     
         40 . A method for placing a footbed accessory on a footbed, the method comprising:
 providing a footbed comprising a flexible elongate body configured to support an underside of a foot, the body having:   an upper surface configured to support the underside of the foot; and   a lower surface opposed to the upper surface, the lower surface having a footbed accessory region located on a lower surface providing a visual indication for placement of a footbed accessory within the footbed accessory region;   providing a footbed accessory for placement and/or attachment on the underside of the footbed within the footbed accessory region;   attaching the footbed accessory to the underside of the footbed, wherein at least a portion of the footbed accessory is located within the footbed accessory region,   wherein the footbed accessory region is not recessed, such that a surface of the footbed accessory region is level with the lower surface of the footbed surround the footbed accessory region and the surface of the footbed accessory region is not recessed within the footbed.
