Abstract

A system including a knee pad integrated in a garment is disclosed. The garment includes a front part and a rear part. The front part and the rear part connect via a side seam and an inseam. Each of the side seam and the inseam includes a first member. The knee pad includes a casing. The casing has a convex surface forming an interior region for receiving the knee of a user. Further, the casing includes second members extending from its distal end. The casing is positioned over the knee of the user wearing the garment and the second members connect to the first members at the front part of the garment. The first member and the second member include a hook and loop mechanism, a zipper mechanism, etc. In one embodiment, the first member is made to fold to prevent it from being exposed when not in use.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A system for integrating a knee pad in a garment, said system comprising:
a garment; first members positioned at said garment; and a knee pad comprising a casing, wherein said casing comprises second members, wherein said casing aligns at a knee portion of said garment, and wherein said second members removably connect to said first members and connect said knee pad to said garment.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a first member of said first members comprises a hook of a hook and loop mechanism.

3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein a second member of said second members comprises a loop of said hook and loop mechanism.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said first member connects to said garment using adhesive or a seam.

5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said knee pad comprises a flap at the top for providing comfort to a user of said garment or to prevent dirt and debris from entering an interior of said casing.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said casing comprises a curved configuration for accommodating a left knee or a right knee of a user of said garment.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a first member of said first members comprises first elements.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein a second member of said second members comprises second elements and a slider, wherein said second elements align with said first elements, and wherein said slider slides to connect said first elements and said second elements thereby connecting said first member and said second member.

9 . The system of claim 1 , wherein said first members further comprise third members, and wherein said first members and said third members connect by a fabric member attached to said garment.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein said fabric member folds such that said third members position over said first members to prevent said third members and said first members from being exposed when said knee pad is not in use.

11 . A method of integrating a knee pad in a garment, said method comprising the steps of:
providing a garment; providing first members positioned at said garment; providing a knee pad comprising a casing, said casing having second members; aligning said casing at a knee portion of said garment; and removably connecting said second members to said first members for connecting said knee pad to said garment.

12 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing a flap at the top of said knee pad for offering comfort to a user of said garment or for preventing dirt and debris from entering an interior of said casing.

13 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing said casing in a curved configuration for accommodating a left knee or a right knee of a user of said garment.

14 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing first elements at a first member of said first members.

15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
providing second elements and a slider at a second member of said second members, said second elements aligning with said first elements; and sliding said slider for connecting said first elements and said second elements thereby connecting said first member and said second member.

16 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing third members adjacent to said first members, said third members and said first members connecting via a fabric member attached to said garment.

17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising folding said fabric member such that said third members position over said first members for preventing said third members and said first members from being exposed when said knee pad is not in use.

18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising providing a hook of a hook and loop mechanism at a first member of said first members.

19 . The method of claim 18 , further comprising providing a loop of said hook and loop mechanism at a second member of said second members.

20 . The method of claim 11 , connecting said first member to said garment using adhesive or a seam.
