Abstract
An elbow and forearm protection device includes an arm strap that is wrapped around a user's upper arm when the user is playing the game of baseball. A member is attached to the arm strap and an elbow cup is integrated into the member to protect the user's elbow from impact of a baseball while playing the game of baseball. A wrist strap is attached to the member and a palm cup is attached to the wrist strap to receive the edge of the user's palm when the wrist strap is worn around the user's wrist.

1 . An elbow and forearm protection device for inhibiting a player from getting injured while playing the game of baseball, said device comprising:
an arm strap being matable to itself to form a closed loop wherein said arm strap is configured to be wrapped around a user's upper arm when the user is playing the game of baseball; a member being attached to and extending away from said arm strap wherein said member is configured to extend along the user's upper arm and lower arm when said arm strap is worn around the user's upper arm; an elbow cup being integrated into said member wherein said elbow cup is configured to be positioned around the user's elbow when said arm strap is worn on the user's upper arm, said elbow cup being comprised of a rigid material wherein said elbow cup is configured to protect the user's elbow from impact of a baseball while playing the game of baseball; an elbow strap being coupled to said elbow cup wherein said elbow strap is configured to be wrapped around a crook of the user's arm when said arm strap is wrapped around the user's upper arm; a wrist strap being attached to said member, said wrist strap being matable to itself to from a closed loop, said wrist strap being spaced from said arm strap wherein said wrist strap is configured to be wrapped around the user's wrist when said arm strap is wrapped around the user's upper arm; a palm cup being attached to said wrist strap wherein said palm cup is configured to receive the edge of the user's palm when said wrist strap is worn around the user's wrist, said palm cup having a concave structure wherein said palm cup is configured to conform to curvature of the edge of the user's palm thereby enhancing comfort for the user; a tab being coupled to and extending away from said palm cup; and a pair of finger loops, said pair of finger loops being stacked on each other, a respective one of said pair of finger loops being attached to said tab having said pair of finger loops being vertically oriented wherein each of said pair of finger loops is configured to insertably receive a respective one of the user's fingers when the edge of the user's palm is positioned in said palm cup.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said arm strap has a first end, a second end and outwardly facing surface extending between said first end and said second end, said arm strap having a front edge extending between said first end and said second end; said assembly includes a first coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said arm strap, said first coupler being positioned adjacent to said first end; said assembly includes a second coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said arm strap, said second coupler being positioned adjacent to said second end, said second coupler being releasably matable to said first coupler for retaining said arm strap in said closed loop; and said member has a primary end and a secondary end, said primary end being coupled to said front edge of said arm strap, said member being positioned closer to said first end of said arm strap than said second end of said arm strap.
3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein:
said elbow cup has a front edge, a back edge and an upper surface extending between said front edge and said back edge, each of said front edge and said back edge having a central portion extending between a first sidelong portion and a second sidelong portion; said central portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge is oriented parallel to each other; said first sidelong portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge angles toward each other to intersect at a first point; said second sidelong portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge angles toward each other to intersect at a second point; and said member extends away from said central portion of each of said front edge and said back edge having said elbow cup being positioned closer to said primary end of said member than said secondary end of said member.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein:
a coupled end of said elbow strap is attached to said second point on said elbow cup; said assembly includes a third coupler being attached to a first surface of said elbow strap at a point located adjacent to a free end of said elbow strap; and said assembly includes a fourth coupler being attached to a bottom surface of said elbow strap at a point located adjacent to said first point on said elbow cup, said third coupler being releasably matable to said fourth coupler wherein said elbow strap is configured to be secured around the crook of the user's arm.
5 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein:
said upper surface of said elbow cup is concavely arcuate with respect to said front edge and said back edge having each of said first point and said second point being directed upwardly from said member wherein said elbow cup is configured to conform to curvature of the user's elbow; said assembly includes a pad being attached to said upper surface of said elbow cup having said pad completely covering said upper surface; and said pad is comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said pad is configured to enhance comfort for the user.
6 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said arm strap has a first end and a second end and a front edge; and said second member has a primary end and a secondary end, said primary end of said second member being attached to said front edge of said arm strap, said second member being positioned closer to said second end of said arm strap than said first end of said arm strap such that said second member is aligned with said member when said arm strap is formed into said closed loop.
7 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said wrist strap has a primary end, a secondary end and outwardly facing surface extending between said primary end and said secondary end, said wrist strap having a front edge extending between said primary end and said secondary end; said assembly includes a primary coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said wrist strap, said primary coupler being positioned adjacent to said primary end; said assembly includes a secondary coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said wrist strap, said secondary coupler being positioned adjacent to said secondary end, said secondary coupler being releasably matable to said primary coupler for retaining said wrist strap in said closed loop; and said palm cup extends away from said front edge of said wrist strap.
8 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said wrist strap has a front edge; and said palm cup extends away from said front edge of said wrist strap; said palm cup has a distal end with respect to said front edge of said wrist strap; said palm cup has an upper surface and an outer edge; said upper surface of said palm cup is concavely arcuate with respect to said outer edge; said palm cup has a lateral wall extending upwardly from said palm cup, said lateral wall having an upper end, said lateral wall being curved adjacent to said upper end such that said lateral wall extends over said upper surface of said palm cup wherein said lateral wall is configured to extend upwardly along the user's palm toward the user's thumb; said lateral wall has a front edge and a back edge; said front edge curves toward said back edge between said upper surface of said palm cup and said upper end of said lateral wall; said back edge curves toward said front edge at a point located adjacent to said upper end; said outer edge has a first lateral side which slopes downwardly between said front edge of said wrist strap and said distal end of said palm cup; and said distal end of said palm cup is rounded.
9 . The assembly according to claim 8 , further comprising a thumb loop having an outer surface being attached to said upper end of said lateral wall of said palm cup such that said thumb loop lies on a plane oriented parallel to said upper surface of said palm cup wherein said thumb loop is configured to insertably receive the user's thumb when the user's palm is placed in said palm cup.
10 . The assembly according to claim 8 , wherein:
said tab is positioned on said distal end of said palm cup, said tab having a distal end with respect to said distal end of said palm cup, said tab being tapered between said distal end of said palm cup and said distal end of said tab; and said respective finger loop is positioned adjacent to said distal end of said tab.
11 . An elbow and forearm protection device for inhibiting a player from getting injured while playing the game of baseball, said device comprising:
an arm strap being matable to itself to form a closed loop wherein said arm strap is configured to be wrapped around a user's upper arm when the user is playing the game of baseball, said arm strap having a first end, a second end and outwardly facing surface extending between said first end and said second end, said arm strap having a front edge extending between said first end and said second end; a first coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said arm strap, said first coupler being positioned adjacent to said first end; a second coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said arm strap, said second coupler being positioned adjacent to said second end, said second coupler being releasably matable to said first coupler for retaining said arm strap in said closed loop; a member being attached to and extending away from said arm strap wherein said member is configured to extend along the user's upper arm and lower arm when said arm strap is worn around the user's upper arm, said member having a primary end and a secondary end, said primary end being coupled to said front edge of said arm strap, said member being positioned closer to said first end of said arm strap than said second end of said arm strap; an elbow cup being integrated into said member wherein said elbow cup is configured to be positioned around the user's elbow when said arm strap is worn on the user's upper arm, said elbow cup being comprised of a rigid material wherein said elbow cup is configured to protect the user's elbow from impact of a baseball while playing the game of baseball, said elbow cup having a front edge, a back edge and an upper surface extending between said front edge and said back edge, each of said front edge and said back edge having a central portion extending between a first sidelong portion and a second sidelong portion, said central portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge being oriented parallel to each other, said first sidelong portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge angling toward each other to intersect at a first point, said second sidelong portion associated with each of said front edge and said back edge angling toward each other to intersect at a second point, said member extending away from said central portion of each of said front edge and said back edge having said elbow cup being positioned closer to said primary end of said member than said secondary end of said member, said upper surface being concavely arcuate with respect to said front edge and said back edge having each of said first point and said second point being directed upwardly from said member wherein said elbow cup is configured to conform to curvature of the user's elbow; a pad being attached to said upper surface of said elbow cup having said pad completely covering said upper surface, said pad being comprised of a resiliently compressible material wherein said pad is configured to enhance comfort for the user; an elbow strap being coupled to said elbow cup wherein said elbow strap is configured to be wrapped around a crook of the user's arm when said arm strap is wrapped around the user's upper arm, a coupled end of said elbow strap being attached to said second point on said elbow cup; a third coupler being attached to a first surface of said elbow strap at a point located adjacent to a free end of said elbow strap; a fourth coupler being attached to a bottom surface of said elbow strap at a point located adjacent to said first point on said elbow cup, said third coupler being releasably matable to said fourth coupler wherein said elbow strap is configured to be secured around the crook of the user's arm; a wrist strap being attached to said member, said wrist strap being matable to itself to from a closed loop, said wrist strap being spaced from said arm strap wherein said wrist strap is configured to be wrapped around the user's wrist when said arm strap is wrapped around the user's upper arm, said wrist strap having a primary end, a secondary end and outwardly facing surface extending between said primary end and said secondary end of said wrist strap, said wrist strap having a front edge extending between said primary end and said secondary end of said wrist strap; a primary coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said wrist strap, said primary coupler being positioned adjacent to said primary end of said wrist strap; a secondary coupler being attached to said outwardly facing surface of said wrist strap, said secondary coupler being positioned adjacent to said secondary end of said wrist strap, said secondary coupler being releasably matable to said primary coupler for retaining said wrist strap in said closed loop; a palm cup being attached to said wrist strap wherein said palm cup is configured to receive the edge of the user's palm when said wrist strap is worn around the user's wrist, said palm cup having a concave structure wherein said palm cup is configured to conform to curvature of the edge of the user's palm thereby enhancing comfort for the user, said palm cup extending away from said front edge of said wrist strap, said palm cup having a distal end with respect to said front edge of said wrist strap, said palm cup having an upper surface and an outer edge, said upper surface of said palm cup being concavely arcuate with respect to said outer edge, said palm cup having a lateral wall extending upwardly from said palm cup, said lateral wall having an upper end, said lateral wall being curved adjacent to said upper end such that said lateral wall extends over said upper surface of said palm cup wherein said lateral wall is configured to extend upwardly along the user's palm toward the user's thumb, said lateral wall having a front edge and a back edge, said front edge curving toward said back edge between said upper surface of said palm cup and said upper end of said lateral wall, said back edge curving toward said front edge at a point located adjacent to said upper end, said outer edge having a first lateral side which slopes downwardly between said front edge of said wrist strap and said distal end of said palm cup, said distal end of said palm cup being rounded; a tab being coupled to and extending away from said palm cup, said tab being positioned on said distal end of said palm cup, said tab having a distal end with respect to said distal end of said palm cup, said tab being tapered between said distal end of said palm cup and said distal end of said tab; a pair of finger loops, said pair of finger loops being stacked on each other, a respective one of said pair of finger loops being attached to said tab having said pair of finger loops being vertically oriented wherein each of said pair of finger loops is configured to insertably receive a respective one of the user's fingers when the edge of the user's palm is positioned in said palm cup, said respective finger loop being positioned adjacent to said distal end of said tab;
