Claims

Abstract

An icemaker according to the present embodiment may comprise an ice-making unit which is provided in an ice-making chamber and which is for making ice. The icemaker may further comprise a cooling unit for supplying cold air to the ice-making unit during an ice-making process. The ice-making unit may comprise a first tray having a first ice-making cell in which first ice is formed. The ice-making unit may further comprise a second tray having a second ice-making cell in which second ice of a different type from the first ice is formed.

1 . An ice making device comprising:
 an ice maker configured to generate ice and provided in an ice making chamber; and   a cooler configured to supply cold to the ice maker in an ice making process;   wherein the ice maker comprises a first tray including a first cell in which first ice is formed, and   a second tray including a second cell in which second ice is formed, a type of the first ice being different from a type of the second ice.   
     
     
         2 . The ice making device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the cooler comprises:   a first refrigerant pipe configured to cool the first tray, and   a second refrigerant pipe configured to cool the second tray, the second refrigerant pipe being connected to the first refrigerant pipe in series,   wherein refrigerant sequentially flows through the first refrigerant pipe and the second refrigerant pipe.   
     
     
         3 . The ice making device of  claim 2 ,
 wherein a heat exchange area of the first tray and the first refrigerant pipe is greater than a heat exchange area of the second tray and the second refrigerant pipe.   
     
     
         4 . The ice making device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein a volume of the first cell is less than a volume of the second cell.   
     
     
         5 . The ice making device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first tray comprises a plurality of first cells, and the second tray comprises a plurality of second cells,   wherein a sum of volumes of the plurality of first cells is greater than a sum of volumes of the plurality of second cells.   
     
     
         6 . The ice making device of  claim 1 ,
 wherein the first tray comprises an opening for discharging the first ice, and a diameter or size of the opening is equal to or greater than a diameter or size of the first cell, and   wherein the second tray comprises a second one tray and a second another tray for the second cell, and one or more of the second one tray and the second another tray are movable to separate the second ice from the second cell.   
     
     
         7 . The ice making device of  claim 2 ,
 further comprising a liquid supplier that supplies liquid to each of the first tray and the second tray, or supplies liquid to only one of the first and second trays.   
     
     
         8 . The ice making device of  claim 7 ,
 wherein when a difference between an ice making completion time in the first tray and an ice making completion time in the second tray is less than a predetermined value, the liquid supplier is controlled to supply liquid to the first tray and the second tray at the same time.   
     
     
         9 . The ice making device of  claim 7 ,
 wherein when a difference between an ice making completion time in the first tray and an ice making completion time in the second tray is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the liquid supplier is controlled so that a deference between an ice making completion time in the first tray and an ice making completion time in the second tray decreases.   
     
     
         10 . The ice making device of  claim 9 ,
 wherein the predetermined value is a value between thirty minutes and eighty minutes, or   an ice making completion time of the second tray is greater than an ice making completion time of the first tray.

         12 . The ice making device of  claim 10 ,
 wherein a transparency of the second ice generated in the second tray is greater than a transparency of the first ice generated in the first tray, and   wherein heat is supplied to the second tray in the ice making process.

 wherein liquid that has supplied to the second cell is cooled by the second refrigerant pipe to generate the second ice, and   liquid supplied to the first cell is cooled by the first refrigerant pipe to generate the first ice.   
     
     
         14 . The ice making device of  claim 10 ,
 wherein a volume of the first cell is less than a volume of the second cell.   
     
     
         15 . An ice making device comprising:
 an ice maker configured to generate ice and provided in an ice making chamber; and   a cooler configured to supply cold to the ice maker in an ice making process,   wherein the ice maker comprises: a first tray including a first cell in which first ice is formed, and   a second tray including a second cell in which second ice of a different type from the first ice is formed,   wherein the cooler comprises: a first refrigerant pipe configured to cool the first tray, a second refrigerant pipe configured to cool the second tray and connected to the first refrigerant pipe in parallel, and a valve configured to control a flow of refrigerant flowing into the first refrigerant pipe and the second refrigerant pipe.   
     
     
         16 . The ice making device of  claim 15 ,
 wherein the valve is controlled so that refrigerant flows through the first refrigerant pipe and the second refrigerant pipe simultaneously or flows through one of the first and second refrigerant pipes.   
     
     
         17 . The ice making device of  claim 16 ,
 wherein the valve is controlled so that an amount of refrigerant flowing through the first refrigerant pipe is greater than an amount of refrigerant flowing through the second refrigerant pipe.   
     
     
         18 . The ice making device of  claim 17 ,
 wherein a heat exchange area of the first tray and the first refrigerant pipe is greater than a heat exchange area of the second tray and the second refrigerant pipe, or   a volume of the first cell is less than a volume of the second cell.   
     
     
         19 . The ice making device of  claim 17 ,
 wherein the first tray comprises a plurality of first cells, and the second tray comprises a plurality of second cells,   wherein a sum of volumes of the plurality of first cells is greater than a sum of volumes of the plurality of second cells.   
     
     
         20 . The ice making device of  claim 15 ,
 wherein the first tray comprises an opening for discharging the first ice, and a diameter or size of the opening is equal to or greater than a diameter or size of the first cell,   wherein the second tray comprises a second one tray and a second another tray for the second cell, and one or more of the second one tray and the second another tray are movable to separate the second ice from the second cell.   
     
     
         21 . An ice making device comprising:
 an ice maker configured to generate ice and provided in an ice making chamber; and   a cold air passage through which cold air for cooling the ice maker flows in an ice making process,   wherein the ice maker comprises a first tray including a first cell in which first ice is formed, and   a second tray including a second cell in which second ice of a different type from the first ice is formed,   wherein the cold air passage comprises a first passage in which the first tray is disposed, and a second passage in which the second tray is disposed and connected to the first passage in series or in parallel.
