Abstract

A planar utensil element fabricated of an elongated foldable paperboard material comprises two generally symmetric scores, elongated with respect to a longitudinal midline of the planar utensil element; wherein folding the planar utensil element about the longitudinal midline produces a usable utensil having two substantially identical halves forming a handle portion and a bowl portion; each of the two generally symmetric scores originates from within the handle portion, curves outwardly away from the longitudinal midline, and then curves inwardly towards the longitudinal midline when traversing from the handle portion towards the bowl portion; and said two generally symmetric scores are present in both the handle portion and the bowl portion.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A planar utensil element fabricated of an elongated foldable paperboard material, comprising:
two generally symmetric scores, elongated with respect to a longitudinal midline of the planar utensil element; wherein folding the planar utensil element about the longitudinal midline forms a usable utensil having a handle portion and a bowl portion; each of the two generally symmetric scores originates from within the handle portion, curves outwardly away from the longitudinal midline, and then curves inwardly towards the longitudinal midline when traversing from the handle portion towards the bowl portion; said two generally symmetric scores are present in both the handle portion and the bowl portion; and each of said two generally symmetric scores terminates at a point spaced apart from an open edge of the bowl portion.

2 . A planar utensil element fabricated of an elongated foldable paperboard material, comprising:
two generally symmetric scores, elongated with respect to a longitudinal midline of the planar utensil element; wherein folding the planar utensil element about the longitudinal midline produces a usable utensil having two substantially identical halves forming a handle portion and a bowl portion; each of the two generally symmetric scores originates from within the handle portion, curves outwardly away from the longitudinal midline, and then curves inwardly towards the longitudinal midline when traversing from the handle portion towards the bowl portion; and said two generally symmetric scores are present in both the handle portion and the bowl portion.

3 . The planar utensil element of claim 2 wherein the two halves are held together in the handle portion with a tacky adhesive.

4 . The planar utensil element of claim 2 wherein the two halves are held together in the handle portion with interconnecting tabs.

5 . A planar utensil element fabricated of an elongated foldable paperboard material, comprising:
two generally symmetric scores, elongated with respect to a longitudinal midline of the planar utensil element; and a third score perpendicular to the longitudinal midline and spanning the entirety of the planar utensil element; wherein folding the planar utensil element about the longitudinal midline forms a usable utensil having a handle portion and a bowl portion; each of the two generally symmetric scores originates from within the handle portion, curves outwardly away from the longitudinal midline, and then curves inwardly towards the longitudinal midline when traversing from the handle portion towards the bowl portion; and said two generally symmetric scores are present in both the handle portion and the bowl portion.

6 . The planar utensil element of claim 5 wherein the third score crosses the two generally symmetric scores.
