Abstract

A golf shoe with a rigid heel of at least two inches and a toe of at least one inch is used to improve the distance a golf ball can be hit. The increased golfer height improves the arc of the golf club, thus increasing club head speed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A golf shoe having a sole comprising:
 a. a rigid heel of a height of at least about 2 inches;   b. a toe having a height of at least 1 inch wherein the toe height is less than the heel height to maintain a gradual slope from the heel to the toe; and   c. spikes on the bottom of a sole.   
     
     
         2 . The golf shoe according to  claim 1  wherein the height of the sole heel is between about 2 inches and 3 inches. 
     
     
         3 . The golf shoe according to  claim 1  wherein the sole toe height is about 1 inch less than the sole heel height. 
     
     
         4 . The golf shoe according to  claim 1  wherein the sole has a width of at least 3.6 inches. 
     
     
         5 . The golf shoe according to  claim 4  wherein the sole has a width of between about 3.6 to about 4.5 inches.
