Abstract
A system may include a turbine and a recuperative heat exchanger system. The recuperative heat exchanger system is configured to receive exhaust gases from the turbine. The recuperative heat exchanger system may include a precool section to cool the exhaust gases, a major heating section to receive the cooled the exhaust gases, and a minor heating section to receive the cooled the exhaust gases.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 .- 20 . (canceled)
21 . A system, comprising:
a structural framework; a precool section coupled to the structural framework and including one or more heat exchangers configured to receive and to cool exhaust gases from a turbine; and an additional heat exchange section coupled to the structural framework and including a plurality of heat exchangers, wherein the precool section is in a different section of the structural framework from the additional heat exchange section.
22 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the precool section is at a different elevation in the structural framework than the additional heat exchange section.
23 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the additional heat exchange section includes a major heat exchange section and a minor heat exchange section each respectively including at least one of the plurality of heat exchangers, and
wherein the major heat exchange section and the minor heat exchange section are at different elevations in the structural framework relative to each other and relative to the precool section.
24 . The system of claim 23 , wherein the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section have different operating temperatures.
25 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the precool section is configured to receive and to cool all of the exhaust gases from the turbine.
26 . The system of claim 25 , wherein the precool section is configured to heat an oxidant stream received from the additional heat exchange section against all of the exhaust gases from the turbine to cool all of the exhaust gases.
27 . The system of claim 21 , wherein the precool section is configured to heat an oxidant stream against the exhaust gases from the turbine.
28 . A system, comprising:
a structural framework; a precool section coupled to the structural framework and including one or more heat exchangers configured to receive and to cool exhaust gases from a turbine; a major heat exchange section coupled to the structural framework; and a minor heat exchange section coupled to the structural framework, wherein the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section have different operating temperatures, and wherein the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section are at different elevations of the structural framework.
29 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section are in different sections of the structural framework.
30 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the one or more heat exchangers of the precool section are configured to receive and to cool all of the exhaust gases from the turbine.
31 . The system of claim 30 , wherein the one or more heat exchangers of the precool section are further configured to receive and to cool all of the exhaust gases from the turbine against an oxidant stream from the minor heat exchange section.
32 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the one or more heat exchangers of the precool section are configured to heat an oxidant stream against the exhaust gases from the turbine.
33 . The system of claim 28 , wherein the structural framework includes a plurality of frame elements coupled together and openings defined by the plurality of frame elements configured to receive the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section.
34 . A system, comprising:
a structural framework; a precool section including one or more heat exchangers configured to receive and to cool exhaust gases from a turbine; and an additional heat exchange section including a plurality of heat exchangers, wherein the precool section and the additional heat exchange section are at different elevations of the structural framework.
35 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the precool section is in a different section of the structural framework from the additional heat exchange section.
36 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the precool section and the additional heat exchange section have different operating temperatures.
37 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the additional heat exchange section includes a major heat exchange section and a minor heat exchange section each respectively including at least one of the plurality of heat exchangers.
38 . The system of claim 37 , wherein the major heat exchange section and the minor heat exchange section are at different elevations in the structural framework relative to each other and relative to the precool section.
39 . The system of claim 38 , wherein the precool section, the major heat exchange section, and the minor heat exchange section have different operating temperatures.
40 . The system of claim 34 , wherein the precool section is configured to receive and to cool the exhaust gases from the turbine against an oxidant stream from the additional heat exchange section.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
