Abstract

A watertight flexible container according to aspects of the present invention includes one or more openings, one or more first members located in one or more of the openings, and a second member located opposite the first member. The second member has one or more protrusions towards the first member. When the members are pressed against each other, the members interlock to form a hermetic seal. In some embodiments, the second member may be made of soft material so that the protrusion of the first member is pressed into the soft second member. In some embodiments, the first member includes at least one socket corresponding to the protrusion. In some embodiments, the protrusion and socket materials and dimensions may be such that mutual pressing of the members causes deformation and mutual adjustment in the dimensions of the protrusion and socket, allowing penetration and interlock of the protrusion into said socket.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A watertight flexible container comprising:
at least one opening; at least one first member located in said opening; and at least one second member located opposite said first member, said second member having at least one protrusion towards said first member; at least one means for maintaining said first member and said second member fastened to each other,
wherein when said members are pressed against each other, said members interlock to form a hermetic seal.

2 . The flexible container of claim 1 , wherein said first member comprises at least one socket that corresponds to said protrusion.

3 . The flexible container of claim 2 , wherein said protrusion and socket materials and dimensions are such that mutual pressing of said members causes deformation and mutual adjustment of said protrusion and said socket, allowing penetration and interlock of said protrusion into said socket.

4 . The flexible container of claim 2 , wherein said socket is a through hole.

5 . The flexible container of claim 2 , wherein said socket is a tapped hole and said protrusion is a screw, said screw tightens during rotation within said tapped hole.

6 . The flexible container of claim 2 , wherein said second member is assembled of two parts, a first part with said protrusion and a second part with at least one hole through which said protrusion is inserted such that when is assembled, said second member comprising said protrusion.

7 . The flexible container of claim 1 , wherein said members have at least one first dimension of the same length, said members are positioned so that when said members are attached, the first dimension of said first member is located parallel to the first dimension of said second member.

8 . The flexible container of claim 1 , said fastening means selected from a group consisting of zipper, snap button, magnet, screw, tapped hole, hook-and-loop fastener, glue, and combinations thereof.

9 . The flexible container of claim 1 wherein said container includes at least one rigid part.

10 . A method of keeping items in a hermetic flexible container, said method comprising:
putting at least one item into said container; interlocking at least one first member located in an opening of said container to at least one second member located opposite to said first member, by pressing said first member against said second member having at least one protrusion toward said first member, said interlocking creates a hermetic seal in said opening; and fastening said members to each other.

11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein said first member comprises at least one socket that corresponds to said protrusion.

12 . The method of claim 11 wherein said pressing causes deformation and mutual adjustment of said protrusion and said socket, allowing penetration and interlock of said protrusion into said socket.

13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein said socket is a tapped hole and said protrusion is a screw, said method comprising tightening said screw within said tapped hole.

14 . The method of claim 11 comprising assembling said second member of two parts, a first part with said protrusion and a second part with at least one hole, said assembling comprises inserting said protrusion through said hole of said second part.

15 . The method of claim 10 wherein said fastening done by fastening means selected from a group consisting of zipper, snap button, magnet, screw, tapped hole, hook-and-loop fastener, glue, and combinations thereof.
