Abstract

A fastening assembly adapted to be applied to a sports article provided with a pair of flaps to be moved mutually towards/away. The assembly includes a traction cable which can be constrained with a first end portion to a flap of the pair of flaps and which can be associated with the other flap of the pair of flaps, and a reel-based tightening device including a winding mechanism having a reel with which there is associated a second end portion of the traction cable, the reel being rotatable around a first rotation axis to tension the second end portion of the traction cable. The reel-based tightening device is adapted to be constrained to a flap of the pair of flaps through pivot means defining a second rotation axis, distinct and separate with respect to the first rotation axis, around which the reel-based tightening device can oscillate in use.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A fastening assembly adapted to be applied to a sports article provided with a pair of flaps to be moved mutually towards/away, the assembly comprising:
a traction cable adapted to be connected with a first end portion to a flap of the pair of flaps and associable, with at least a portion, to the other flap of the pair of flaps, a reel-based tightening device comprising a winding mechanism comprising a reel with which a second end portion of the traction cable is associated, the reel being rotatable around a first rotation axis for tensioning the second end portion of the traction cable, wherein the reel-based tightening device is adapted to be connected to a flap of the pair of flaps through pivot means defining a second rotation axis, distinct and separate from the first rotation axis, around which the reel-based tightening device can oscillate, in use.

2 . The fastening assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis extend, in use, essentially orthogonally to the surface of the flap of the pair of flaps with which the reel-based tightening device is associated.

3 . The fastening assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the second rotation axis is spaced from the first rotation axis so as to extend outside the overall dimensions of the winding mechanism.

4 . The fastening assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the reel-based tightening device comprises a mounting base adapted to be arranged, in use, on an outer surface of a flap of the pair of flaps and defining a support seat on which there rests the winding mechanism, and a first fixing portion, arranged laterally with respect to the support seat, on which there is obtained a first mounting through hole extending, in use, along the second rotation axis and adapted to receive the pivot means.

5 . The fastening assembly according to claim 4 , wherein the reel-based tightening device comprises a containment shell adapted to be coupled to the mounting base and configured to support actuation means operatively connected to the reel, the containment shell comprising a hollow body portion adapted to be arranged at the support seat and provided with a side opening configured to allow the sliding passage of the second end portion of the traction cable.

6 . The fastening assembly according to claim 5 , wherein the containment shell further comprises a second fixing portion, protruding laterally with respect to the body portion, adapted to be arranged at the first fixing portion of the mounting base, and on which there is obtained a second mounting through hole adapted to be arranged coaxial to the first mounting hole to receive the pivot means.

7 . The fastening assembly according to claim 6 , wherein the second fixing portion protrudes from the body portion in a position essentially diametrically opposite to the portion on which there is obtained the side opening, the side opening having a width adapted to allow the reel-based tightening device to oscillate around the second rotation axis by an angle of up to 60°.

8 . The fastening assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the pivot means comprise a hollow tubular element adapted to be arranged, in use, along the second rotation axis, a fixing screw provided with a head and a stem, the stem being configured to be received in the tubular element by inserting it from a side facing outwards of the flap, and a tightening nut adapted to cooperate with the end of the stem from the inner side of the flap to prevent the removal of the fixing screw from the tubular element.

9 . The fastening assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the stem comprises a first stem portion proximal to the head and a second stem portion distal from the head, the first stem portion having a section larger than the second stem portion so as to define a shoulder between them, the tightening nut comprising counteracting plate adapted to rest, in use, against the inner surface of the flap, and a seat body configured to receive the second stem portion of the stem up to the shoulder.

         10 . A sports article comprising a fastening assembly according to claim 1 .
