Abstract
A reinforced hair holder, includes a core body having a first core end and a second core end, a cover body having a first cover end and a second cover end, the cover body coupled to the core body along a length of the hair holder and a coupling member that is adapted to couple the first core end and the first cover end to the second core end and the second cover end, respectively. The hair holder provides improved durability that reduces the occurrence of elastic fatigue and breakage to allow a user to limit the frequency of disposal and replacement of a hair holder for the user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A hair holder, comprising;
a core body having a first core end and a second core end, and a cover body having a first cover end and a second cover end and an outer surface and an inner surface;
wherein the cover body further comprises a groove formed on the cover body;
wherein the groove extends substantially a full length between the first cover end and the second cover end;
wherein the groove extends through the outer surface of the cover body to the inner surface of the cover body;
wherein the core body is configured to be inserted into the groove of the cover body; wherein either or both of the core body and cover body comprises one or more reinforcement materials;
wherein at least one of the reinforcement materials is natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk; graphene, graphene-type material, or other materials made from allotropes of carbon; para-aramid or meta-aramid materials;
or flexible steel fibers or composites thereof; and wherein the first end of the core body and first end of the cover body are capable of being repeatedly tied and untied manually to the second end of the core body and the second end of the cover body.
2 . The hair holder of claim 2 , wherein the core body and the cover body are connected to each other in whole or in part with a glue comprising graphene or graphene-type material after the core body is inserted into the groove of the cover body.
3 . The hair holder of claim 1 , wherein the cover body comprises a porous structure or net structure.
4 . The hair holder of claim 1 , wherein the core body comprises the reinforcement material of natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk.
5 . The hair holder of claim 4 , wherein the cover body is translucent or transparent such as to permit viewing of the natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk of the core body.
6 . The hair holder of claim 1 , wherein the cover body is coated with a material adapted to provide grip.
7 . A hair holder, comprising:
a core body having a first core end and a second core end and an outer surface, and a cover body having a first cover end and a second cover end and an outer surface and an inner surface; wherein the core body is disposed entirely within the cover body;
wherein the outer surface of the core body is connected to the inner surface of the cover body;
wherein either or both of the core body and cover body comprises one or more reinforcement materials,
wherein at least one of the reinforcement materials is natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk; graphene, graphene-type material, or other materials made from allotropes of carbon; para-aramid or meta-aramid materials;
or flexible steel fibers or composites thereof; and wherein, the first end of the core body and first end of the cover body are capable of being repeatedly tied and untied manually to the second end of the core body and the second end of the cover body.
8 . The hair holder of claim 7 , wherein the outer surface of the core body and inner surface of the cover body are connected to each other in whole or in part with a glue comprising graphene or graphene-type material.
9 . The hair holder of claim 7 , wherein the cover body comprises a porous structure or net structure.
10 . The hair holder of claim 7 , wherein the core body comprises the reinforcement material of natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk.
11 . The hair holder of claim 10 , wherein the cover body is translucent or transparent such as to permit viewing of the natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk of the core body.
12 . The hair holder of claim 7 , wherein the cover body is coated with a material adapted to provide grip.
13 . A hair holder, comprising:
(i) a first strip body having a first end and a second end and a length that extends between the first end and the second end of the first strip body, and (ii) a second strip body having a first end and a second end and a length that extends between the first end and the second end of the second strip body: wherein at least a portion of the length of the first strip body is connected to at least a portion of the length of the second strip body; wherein either or both of the strip bodies comprise one or more reinforcement materials;
wherein at least one of the reinforcement materials is natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk; graphene, graphene-type material, or other materials made from allotropes of carbon; para-aramid or meta-aramid materials;
or flexible steel fibers or composites thereof; and wherein the first end of the first strip body and first end of the second strip body are capable of being repeatedly tied and untied manually to the second end of the first strip body and the second end of the second strip body.
14 . The hair holder of claim 13 , wherein
(i) the first strip body further is in the shape of a regular half cylinder,
wherein the cross-sections of the first strip body are semicircular and identical in size and orientation along the length of the first strip body such that the length of the first strip body consists of a substantially flat surface and a curved surface; and
(ii) the second strip body further is in the shape of a regular half cylinder,
wherein the cross-sections of the second strip body are semicircular and identical in size and orientation along the length of the second strip body such that the length of the second strip body consists of a substantially flat surface and a curved surface;
wherein at least a portion of the substantially flat surface of the length of the first strip body is connected to at least a portion of the substantially flat surface of the length of the second strip body; wherein either or both of the strip bodies comprise one or more reinforcement materials,
wherein at least one of the reinforcement materials is natural, artificial, or genetically altered spider silk; graphene, graphene-type material, or other materials made from allotropes of carbon; para-aramid or meta-aramid materials;
or flexible steel fibers or composites thereof; and
wherein the first end of the first strip body and first end of the second strip body are capable of being tied to the second end of the first strip body and second end of the second strip body.
15 . The hair holder of claim 13 , wherein the length of the first strip body is connected to the length of the second strip body in whole or in part (a) by twisting the two strip bodies together or (b) with a glue comprising graphene or graphene-type material.
