Garments with concealers, concealers and related methods

Abstract

Garments having a concealer and related methods are provided herein. For example, a garment can be provided that comprises an exterior fabric that forms an exterior portion of the garment and structural seams that hold the exterior fabric to other sections of the garment. The garment also comprises a disc concealer being secured to an interior portion of the garment without being connected at the structural seams at a position where a reproductive region of a wearer will reside upon the wearer wearing the garment to add an extra layer around the interior area of the garment where the reproductive region is intended to reside.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A garment comprising:
 an exterior fabric that forms an exterior portion of the garment with the exterior fabric being pliable such that the garment is pliable as well;   a disc concealer being secured to an interior portion of the garment without being connected at any structural seams at a position where a reproductive region of a wearer will reside upon the wearer wearing the garment to add a thin extra layer around an interior area of the garment where the reproductive region is intended to reside such that garment is still pliable even in areas where the disc concealer is secured, the disc concealer comprising:   a body with an outer shape with an outer perimeter and a center portion, the body comprising a water-based and solvent-free film having aeration apertures therein to permit the body to be breathable; and   a plurality of articulation channels in the disc concealer to permit the disc concealer to conform to the reproductive region of the wearer without the disc concealer protruding unnaturally within the garment.   
     
     
         2 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of articulation channels comprise three or more articulation channels formed in the disc concealer and each of the plurality of articulation channels extend inward from the outer perimeter toward the center portion. 
     
     
         3 . The garment according to  claim 2 , wherein each of the articulation channels in the outer perimeter of the disc concealer comprise a V-shaped configuration with each of the articulation channels having a wider width at the outer perimeter and narrowing to a lesser width at a base of the respective articulation channel closer to the center portion of the disc concealer. 
     
     
         4 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of articulation channels comprise four articulation channels formed in the outer perimeter of the disc concealer with the articulation channels being spaced about equidistance from adjacent articulation channels around the outer perimeter of the disc concealer. 
     
     
         5 . The garment according to  claim 4 , wherein each of the four articulation channels extend inward converging toward the center portion of the disc concealer to a channel base where the channel bases are about 0.25 inches from adjacent channel bases. 
     
     
         6 . The garment according to  claim 4 , wherein each of the four articulation channels in the outer perimeter of the disc concealer extend inward to a channel base that is about 0.25 inches from the center portion of the disc concealer. 
     
     
         7 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the disc concealer has a notch in the outer perimeter, the notch providing information relating to orientation of the disc concealer and its placement in the garment. 
     
     
         8 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein an area of the garment where the disc concealer is secured maintains a stretchability of 50% according to standard test method ASTM D-2594. 
     
     
         9 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein an area of the garment where the disc concealer is secured maintains a stretchability that is between about 50% to about 100% of the exterior fabric according to standard test method ASTM D-2594. 
     
     
         10 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the aeration apertures are spaced apart by between about 1/32 of an inch and about % of an inch. 
     
     
         11 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the aeration apertures are spaced apart by about ⅛ of an inch. 
     
     
         12 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the aeration apertures provide airflow between skin and garment. 
     
     
         13 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein a diameter of each of the aeration apertures is 0.039 inches or less. 
     
     
         14 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein a diameter of each of the aeration apertures is between about 0.020 inches and about 0.079 inches. 
     
     
         15 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the body of the disc concealer has a weight of about 4.12 oz./yd. 2 . 
     
     
         16 . The garment according to  claim 1 , wherein the body of the disc concealer has a thickness of about 130 μm. 
     
     
         17 . A garment comprising:
 an exterior fabric that forms an exterior portion of the garment and structural seams that hold the exterior fabric to other sections of the garment; and   the exterior fabric comprising one or more concealer regions in which a density of the exterior fabric is greater than a rest of the exterior fabric at a position within the garment where a reproductive region of a wearer will reside upon the wearer wearing the garment.   
     
     
         18 . The garment according to  claim 17 , wherein the one or more concealer regions comprise a fabric weight of about 12 ounces per square yard (oz./yd. 2 ) or greater. 
     
     
         19 . The garment according to  claim 17 , wherein each of the one or more concealer regions comprise a first concealer section and a second concealer section. 
     
     
         20 . The garment according to  claim 19 , wherein the first concealer section comprises a greater fabric density than the second concealer section. 
     
     
         21 . The garment according to  claim 20 , wherein the second concealer section surrounds the first concealer section such that the second concealer section forms an outer perimeter of the respective concealer region.
