Absorbent glove device
Abstract
An absorbent glove device for absorbing fluids during an oil-change includes a glove. The glove includes an inner layer that is formed of a resiliently deformable rubber material and an outer layer that is formed of an absorbent cloth material. The absorbent cloth material absorbs a fluid contacting the outer layer. The resiliently deformable rubber material inhibits the fluid from permeating the inner layer. The glove further includes a hand portion having a palm section for receiving a palm of the hand and a plurality of finger sections, each of which receive a respective finger of the hand. An arm portion is coupled to and extends outwardly from the hand portion. The arm portion receives the arm of the user and has sufficient length to cover the arm at least up to an elbow.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A protective cover assembly comprising:
a glove having a top side and a bottom side, the glove being configured to receive a hand and at least part of an arm of a user, the glove comprising an inner layer being formed of a resiliently deformable rubber material and an outer layer being formed of an absorbent cloth material configured to absorb a fluid contacting the outer layer, the glove further comprising:
a hand portion having a palm section being configured to receive a palm of the hand and a plurality of finger sections each being configured to receive a respective finger of the hand;
an arm portion being coupled to and extending outwardly from the hand portion, the arm portion being configured to receive the arm of the user, the arm portion having a length being configured to cover at least a forearm of the user; and
a plurality of pads being coupled to the outer layer of the glove, each pad of the plurality of pads being positioned on the bottom side at a respective one of the plurality of finger sections, each of said pads having a terminal edge aligned with a center of a fingertip of the respective one of the finger sections.
2 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , wherein the resiliently deformable rubber material is at least one of latex, natural rubber, and synthetic rubber.
3 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , wherein the length of the arm portion is between 5.0 inches and 20.0 inches.
4 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of pads being coupled to the outer layer of the glove, each pad of the plurality of pads being positioned on the bottom side at a respective one of the plurality of finger sections.
5 . The protective cover assembly of claim 4 , each pad of the plurality of pads further comprising a rubber material being configured to increase friction between the glove and an object being gripped by the hand.
6 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , the resiliently deformable rubber material being selected from the group of materials consisting of latex, natural rubber, and synthetic rubber.
7 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , wherein the absorbent cloth material includes a natural fiber, a synthetic fiber, or combinations thereof whereby the absorbent cloth material is configured to absorb the fluid when the fluid is contacting the outer layer, the fluid comprising an oil.
8 . The protective cover assembly of claim 1 , wherein the the length of the arm portion is configured to cover the forearm and an upper arm of the user.
9 . A protective cover assembly comprising:
a glove having a top side and a bottom side, the glove being configured to receive a hand and at least part of an arm of a user, the glove comprising an inner layer being formed of a resiliently deformable rubber material and an outer layer being formed of an absorbent cloth material configured to absorb a fluid contacting the outer layer, the resiliently deformable rubber material being configured to inhibit the fluid from permeating the inner layer, the inner layer being coupled to the outer layer, the glove further comprising:
a hand portion having a palm section being configured to receive a palm of the hand and a plurality of finger sections each being configured to receive a respective finger of the hand;
an arm portion being coupled to and extending outwardly from the hand portion, the arm portion being configured to receive the arm of the user, the arm portion having a length being configured to cover at least a forearm of the user, the length being between 5.0 inches and 20.0 inches;
a plurality of pads being coupled to the outer layer of the glove, each pad of the plurality of pads being positioned on the bottom side at a respective one of the plurality of finger sections, the plurality of pads comprising a rubber material being configured to increase friction between the glove and an object being gripped by the hand, each of said pads having a terminal edge aligned with a center of a fingertip of the respective one of the finger sections; the resiliently deformable rubber material being selected from the group of materials consisting of latex, natural rubber, and synthetic rubber; and wherein the absorbent cloth material includes a natural fiber, a synthetic fiber, or combinations thereof whereby the absorbent cloth material is configured to absorb the fluid when the fluid is contacting the outer layer, the fluid comprising an oil.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
