Abstract
There is provided an aerosol generating system comprising: a consumable unit having a plurality of air flow paths therethrough, each of the plurality of air flow paths being associated with at least a respective one of a corresponding plurality of sources of aerosol generating medium; and, a housing for housing the consumable unit, the housing having an air inlet and an air outlet, wherein the system is configured so that any of the air flow paths can be selectively brought into contact with the inlet and the outlet to form an air flow path.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 25 . (canceled)
26 . A consumable unit for use with an aerosol generating device configured to receive the consumable unit, wherein the consumable unit comprises:
a plurality of air flow paths therethrough, each of the plurality of air flow paths being associated with an aerosol generating medium; a plurality of dividing walls; a plurality of air inlet apertures; and a plurality of air outlet apertures, wherein the plurality of air flow paths are separated from one another by the plurality of dividing walls.
27 . The consumable unit of claim 26 , wherein the aerosol generating medium is arranged so that air flow passes over the aerosol generating medium as it passes through the consumable unit.
28 . The consumable unit of claim 26 , wherein the consumable unit has the shape of a cylinder.
29 . The consumable unit of claim 27 , wherein the plurality of air outlet apertures are arranged on a flat end surface of the cylindrical consumable unit.
30 . The consumable unit of claim 26 , comprising a plurality of layers arranged within the consumable unit.
31 . The consumable unit of claim 29 , wherein the dividing walls divide parts of one layer within the consumable unit.
32 . Aerosol provision means comprising:
a consumable unit having a plurality of air flow paths therethrough, each of the plurality of air flow paths being associated with an aerosol generating medium; and a housing for housing the consumable unit, the housing having air inlet means and air outlet means, wherein the consumable unit comprises: a plurality of dividing walls; a plurality of air inlet apertures; and a plurality of air outlet apertures, wherein the plurality of air flow paths are separated from one another by the plurality of dividing walls.
33 . The aerosol provision means of claim 32 , wherein the aerosol generating medium is arranged so that air flow passes over the aerosol generating medium as it passes through the consumable unit.
34 . The aerosol provision means of claim 32 , comprising a portion of air permeable material through which air can enter the consumable unit.
35 . The aerosol provision means of claim 34 , wherein the air permeable material is of a suitable resistance to air flow such that excessive inhalation pressure is not required to draw air flow through the air permeable material.
36 . The aerosol provision means of claim 32 , wherein the consumable unit has the shape of a cylinder.
37 . The aerosol provision means of claim 36 , wherein the air outlet apertures are arranged on a flat end surface of the cylindrical consumable unit.
38 . The aerosol provision means of claim 32 , comprising a plurality of layers arranged within the consumable unit.
39 . The aerosol provision means of claim 38 , wherein the dividing walls divide parts of one layer within the consumable unit.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
