Abstract

A functional test machine for a variable displacement compressor includes a chuck device supported on a stand for grasping a variable displacement compressor, a crankcase pressure (Pc) gauge, a discharge pressure (Pd) gauge, and a suction pressure (Ps) gauge supported on a control panel of a table and connected to the compressor, and a control valve device includes a passage formed in a tubular member and coupled to the discharge pressure (Pd) gauge, and a valve member disposed in the tubular member for controlling an air flowing through the passage of the tubular member. The chuck device includes three claws for holding the compressor.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A functional test machine for a variable displacement compressor comprising:
 a stand,   a chuck device supported on the stand,   the variable displacement compressor being supported on the stand with said chuck device,   a table including a control panel,   a crankcase pressure (Pc) gauge, a discharge pressure (Pd) gauge, and a suction pressure (Ps) gauge supported on the control panel of the table and connected to the compressor, and   a control valve device including a tubular member, and including a passage formed in the tubular member and coupled to the discharge pressure (Pd) gauge for receiving an air from the discharge pressure (Pd) gauge, and a valve member disposed in the tubular member and engaged into the passage of the tubular member for controlling an air flowing through the passage of the tubular member.   
     
     
         2 . The test machine as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the chuck device includes three claws for holding the compressor. 
     
     
         3 . The test machine as claimed in  claim 2 , wherein the compressor includes a pulley engaged with the claws. 
     
     
         4 . The test machine as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the compressor includes a clutch and coil coupled to the control panel. 
     
     
         5 . The test machine as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the compressor includes a control valve coupled to the control panel.
