Dewatering system for deep excavation sites
Abstract
A dewatering system for excavation sites that have a depth of greater than seventy feet. The dewatering system of the present invention includes a first dewatering pump wherein the first dewatering pump is placed in a depression below ground level at the bottom of an excavation site. The first dewatering pump has an outlet hose operably coupled thereto wherein the outlet hose is operably coupled to an inline adapter module at the opposing end of the outlet hose from the first dewatering pump. The inline adapter module includes a connection element wherein the connection element is configured to be operably coupled to the outlet hose. The connection element is operably coupled to a pump member of the inline adapter utilizing an adapter member. The pump member of the inline adapter module provides additional pumping capacity to the dewatering system. A collection member is operably coupled to the inline adapter module.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A dewatering system that is configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet wherein the dewatering system comprises:
a first dewatering pump, said first dewatering pump being located in a depression below ground level at a bottom of the excavation site, said first dewatering pump having a pumping capacity for moving water through an outlet hose, said outlet hose being operably coupled to said first dewatering pump, said outlet hose having a first end and a second end, said outlet hose being coupled to said first dewatering pump at said first end of said outlet hose; an inline adapter module, said inline adapter module being operably coupled to said second end of said outlet hose, said inline adapter module having a first end and a second end, said inline adapter module having a connection element at the first end thereof, said connection element configured to be operably coupled to said second end of said outlet hose, said connection element being operably coupled to an adapter member, said adapter member configured to facilitate an operable connection with a pump member of the inline adapter module, said pump member configured to provide additional pumping capacity to the dewatering system.
2 . The dewatering system configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet as recited in claim 1 , wherein said inline adapter module further includes a hose connection member, said hoe connection member being located at said second end of said inline adapter module.
3 . The dewatering system configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet as recited in claim 2 , and further including a second outlet hose, said second outlet hose having a first end and a second end, said first end of said second outlet hose being operably coupled to said hose connection member.
4 . The dewatering system configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet as recited in claim 3 , and further including a collection element, said collection element being operably coupled to said second end of said second outlet hose.
5 . The dewatering system configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet as recited in claim 4 , wherein the pump member of said inline adapter module provides additional pumping capacity to the dewatering system.
6 . The dewatering system configured to provide dewatering of an excavation site having a depth of greater than seventy feet as recited in claim 5 , wherein said first dewatering pump and said inline adapter module are powered by two hundred and forty volt power supply.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
