Abstract

A single-dose capsule for preparing beverages having a cup made of aluminum and defined by a bottom wall, a collar and an annular side wall is provided. The cup is closed by a cover. The collar has a flat horizontal portion to which the cover is fastened, and a plastically deformable seal step for making a seal with an infusion chamber of an extraction device. The plastically deformable seal step has a tilted raised portion. The annular side wall has a centering step for centering the cup inside the infusion chamber of the extraction device. The centering step has a tilted raised portion.

         14 . A single-dose capsule for preparing infusion or soluble beverages in an extraction device provided with an infusion chamber, said single-dose capsule comprising:
 a cup made of aluminum comprising a bottom wall, a collar at an opposite end defining an opening, an annular side wall extending in height along a central axis between said bottom wall and said collar, the cup defining, therein, a compartment containing at least one food substance; and   a cover sealingly closing said opening;   wherein   the collar comprises a flat horizontal portion having a front face to which the cover is fastened;   the collar comprises, internally with respect to the flat horizontal portion, a plastically deformable seal step for making a seal with the infusion chamber of the extraction device, said plastically deformable seal step comprising a raised portion that is tilted with respect to the central axis;   the annular side wall comprises a centering step for centering the cup inside the infusion chamber of the extraction device, said centering step comprising a raised portion that is tilted with respect to the central axis, and wherein   said plastically deformable seal step further comprises an abutment portion that is tilted with respect to a horizontal plane defined by the flat horizontal portion of the collar, said abutment portion of the plastically deformable seal step being tilted by an angle between 4° and 12°.   
     
     
         15 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the centering step further comprises an abutment portion that is tilted with respect to the horizontal plane defined by the flat horizontal portion of the collar. 
     
     
         16 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the plastically deformable seal step is tilted by an angle between 2° and 6°. 
     
     
         17 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the plastically deformable seal step is tilted by an angle of 4°. 
     
     
         18 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the plastically deformable seal step extends for about 1 mm. 
     
     
         19 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the abutment portion of the plastically deformable seal step is tilted by an angle of 8°. 
     
     
         20 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the abutment portion of the plastically deformable seal step extends for about 1 mm. 
     
     
         21 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the centering step is tilted by an angle between 5° and 11°. 
     
     
         22 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the centering step is tilted by an angle of 8°. 
     
     
         23 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 14 , wherein the raised portion of the centering step extends for about 3 mm. 
     
     
         24 . The single-dose capsule of  claim 15 , wherein the abutment portion of the centering step is tilted by an angle between 12° and 18°.
