Abstract

A hair foil system configured to reduce bleeding of hair product past the boundaries of the foil. The hair foil system including a foil, a tube, an absorbent material, and a textured material. The foil including a top portion; a bottom portion; a first surface; and a second surface opposite the first surface.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A hair foil system configured to be applied to hair, comprising:
 a foil including:
 a top portion defined along a first lateral edge of the foil and extending a first longitudinal length from the first lateral edge; 
 a bottom portion defined along a second lateral edge of the foil and extending a second longitudinal length from the second lateral edge; 
 a first surface extending between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge; and 
 a second surface extending between the first lateral edge and the second lateral edge opposite the first surface; 
   an absorbent material coupled to an outer surface of the top portion of the foil; and   a textured material coupled to the second surface of the foil.   
     
     
         2 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , wherein the textured material is coupled to the foil along a lateral length of the top portion so that the textured material extends from the top portion toward the bottom portion. 
     
     
         3 . The hair foil system of  claim 2 , wherein the textured material is adhered to the foil. 
     
     
         4 . The hair foil system of  claim 2 , wherein a first portion of the textured material is coupled to the foil and a second portion of the textured material is not coupled to the foil. 
     
     
         5 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , wherein the foil is textured. 
     
     
         6 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , wherein the foil is rectangular. 
     
     
         7 . The hair foil system in  claim 1 , wherein the textured material is a mesh material. 
     
     
         8 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , wherein the absorbent material is a cotton material. 
     
     
         9 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , wherein the textured material extends from the top portion of the foil to a middle point of the foil between the top portion and the bottom portion. 
     
     
         10 . The hair foil system of  claim 1 , further comprising a tube coupled to the top portion of the foil;
 wherein the tube is coupled to the top portion of the foil so that the foil surrounds a circumference of tube.   
     
     
         11 . The hair foil system of  claim 10 , wherein a length of the tube extends along at least a majority of a lateral length of the top portion of the foil. 
     
     
         12 . The hair foil system of  claim 11 , wherein the absorbent material extends along the length of the tube. 
     
     
         13 . A method for making a hair foil system, comprising:
 coupling a textured material to a planar surface of the hair foil such that the textured material extends a length from the top portion of the hair foil toward a bottom portion of the hair foil; and   coupling an absorbent material to the top portion of the foil such that the absorbent material wraps around a first lateral edge of the hair foil and extends onto a first surface of the hair foil.   
     
     
         14 . The method of  claim 13 , further comprising coupling a tube to a top portion of a hair foil;
 wherein coupling the tube to the top portion of the hair foil further comprises wrapping the foil around an outer surface of the tube.   
     
     
         15 . The method of  claim 14 , further comprising applying heat to bond the absorbent material, tube, and hair foil together. 
     
     
         16 . A method of applying a hair product to hair, comprising:
 laying hair on a surface of a foil such that:
 a first portion of the hair is adjacent to a top portion of the foil, the top portion having a lateral length, 
 a second portion of the hair contacts a textured material coupled to the surface of the foil, and 
 a third portion of the hair extends toward a bottom portion of the foil; and 
   applying the hair product to the hair, wherein excess hair product is absorbed into an absorbent material coupled to an outer surface of a tube coupled to the top portion of the foil.   
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising inserting a tool into the tube before laying hair on the surface of the foil. 
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16 , further comprising folding the foil such that the hair is encapsulated in the foil after applying the hair product to the hair. 
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the hair product is bleach. 
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 16 , wherein the tube defines a gap between a scalp and the hair product.
