Abstract

Letter, number, and symbol chain elements for jewelry with 3D movement are described herein. A chain element for jewelry may have an element body forming a letter, a number, and a symbol, along with a top loop connection element and a bottom loop connection element, each having a pass-through opening. At least one of the pass-through openings may be tapered to enable three-dimensional (3D) movement between the chain elements in the jewelry. In other embodiments, there may be a top or bottom post instead of the top or bottom loop connection elements, respectively, the top or bottom post configured to couple with a chain link. The post may couple to a chain link in a manner that allows for the chain element to swivel or rotate with respect to the chain link.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A chain element for jewelry comprising:
an element body forming one, or a combination, of a letter, a number, and a symbol; a top loop connection element comprising a first pass-through opening; and a bottom loop connection element comprising a second pass-through opening, wherein one or both of the first pass-through opening and the second pass-through opening comprise a tapered pass-through opening.

2 . The chain element of claim 1 , further comprising a bridge from which the top loop connection element extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

3 . The chain element of claim 1 , further comprising a bridge from which the bottom loop connection element extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

4 . The chain element of claim 1 , further comprising a platform from which the bottom loop connection element extends, the platform set back from a front face of the element body.

5 . The chain element of claim 1 , further comprising a cut-out configured to enable a second top loop connection element of an other chain element to align with the bottom loop connection element.

6 . The chain element of claim 5 , wherein the cut-out is sized to enable 3D movement between the chain element and the other chain element.

7 . The chain element of claim 1 , wherein one or both of the top loop connection element and the bottom loop connection element are set back from a front face of the element body.

8 . The chain element of claim 1 , wherein the tapered pass-through opening comprises a wider outer portion of the opening on each side and a narrower portion of the opening in the center.

9 . A chain element for jewelry comprising:
an element body forming one, or a combination, of a letter, a number, and a symbol; a top post configured to couple to a chain link, the top post configured to pass through an opening in the chain link; a bottom loop connection element comprising a pass-through opening; and a cut-out adjacent to the bottom loop connection element, the cut-out configured to enable a top loop connection element of another chain element to align with the bottom loop connection element, the top loop element connection element comprising an other pass-through opening, wherein one or both of the pass-through opening and the other pass-through opening comprise a tapered pass-through opening.

10 . The chain element of claim 9 , further comprising a bridge from which the top post extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

11 . The chain element of claim 9 , further comprising a bridge from which the bottom loop connection element extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

12 . The chain element of claim 9 , further comprising a platform from which the bottom loop connection element extends, the platform set back from a front face of the element body.

13 . The chain element of claim 9 , wherein the cut-out is sized to enable 3D movement between the chain element and the other chain element.

14 . The chain element of claim 9 , wherein the bottom loop connection element is set back from a front face of the element body.

15 . The chain element of claim 9 , wherein the tapered pass-through opening comprises a wider outer portion of the opening on each side and a narrower portion of the opening in the center.

16 . The chain element of claim 9 , wherein the top post extends far enough through the opening to create a pin-head at one end.

17 . A chain element for jewelry comprising:
an element body forming one, or a combination, of a letter, a number, and a symbol; a top loop connection element comprising a pass-through opening, the pass-through opening being tapered; and a bottom post configured to couple to a chain link, the bottom post configured to pass through an opening in the chain link.

18 . The chain element of claim 17 , further comprising a cut-out adjacent to the top loop connection element, the cut-out configured to enable a bottom loop connection element of another chain element to align with the top loop connection element, the bottom loop connection element comprising an other pass-through opening.

19 . The chain element of claim 18 , wherein the other pass-through opening is not tapered.

20 . The chain element of claim 18 , wherein the cut-out is sized to enable 3D movement between the chain element and the other chain element.

21 . The chain element of claim 17 , further comprising a bridge from which the top loop connection element extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

22 . The chain element of claim 17 , further comprising a bridge from which the bottom post extends, the bridge set back from a front face of the element body.

23 . The chain element of claim 17 , wherein the top loop connection element is set back from a front face of the element body.
