Shoe protector

Abstract

A shoe protector that is configured to be releasably secured to a shoe wherein the present invention includes a deployable portion that provides coverage of the top of the shoe in order to provide protection thereof. The present invention includes a storage member wherein the storage member is configured to be releasably secured to the top of the tongue of the shoe. The storage member includes a compartment having an interior volume configured to retain the body in its first position. The body of the present invention is configured to be deployed to its second position wherein the body substantially covers the top of the shoe. The body includes a perimeter edge defining the shape thereof. The perimeter edge has integrally formed therein weight members. The weight members are elongated in shaped and are operable to maintain the body in its second position.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A shoe protector that is configured to provide protection of a top area of a shoe wherein the shoe protector comprises:
 a storage member, said storage member configured to be releasably secured to a top portion of a tongue of the shoe, said storage member having a compartment, said compartment having an interior volume;   a body, said body being manufactured from a thin flexible material, said body being movable between a first position and a second position; and   wherein said body in said first position is disposed within said compartment of said storage member.   
     
     
         2 . The shoe protector configured to provide protection of the top area of the shoe as recited in  claim 1 , wherein in said second position said body is superposed the top area of the shoe providing substantial coverage thereof. 
     
     
         3 . The shoe protector configured to provide protection of the top area of the shoe as recited in  claim 2 , wherein said body includes a perimeter edge, said perimeter edge defining a shape and size of the body. 
     
     
         4 . The shoe protector configured to provide protection of the top area of the shoe as recited in  claim 3 , wherein said perimeter edge further includes at least one weight member integrally formed therein, said at least one weight member being elongated in form. 
     
     
         5 . The shoe protector configured to provide protection of the top area of the shoe as recited in  claim 4 , wherein said at least one weight member is operable to maintain said body in said second position.
