Abstract
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rates. In addition, the disclosure relates to operations of a UE and base station in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the disclosure relates to a method for transmitting an UL control signal by a UE and an apparatus capable of performing the same. The disclosure provides a subband-based transmission method in a wireless communication system.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a configuration for one or more sub-bands; receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); identifying, among the one or more sub-bands, a first sub-band for uplink control information (UCI); multiplexing the UCI on the PUSCH based on the first sub-band for the UCI; and transmitting, to the base station, the PUSCH including the UCI.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the DCI includes a field indicating the first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands, and
wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified based on the field included in the DCI.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified as a second sub-band selected by the UE, and
wherein the PUSCH includes information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE.
4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE is multiplexed on the PUSCH over an entire bandwidth of the PUSCH.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the configuration for one or more sub-bands includes a beta-offset value for each sub-band of the one or more sub-bands, and
wherein a number of resource elements (REs) for the UCI is identified based on a beta-offset value for the first sub-band for the UCI.
6 . A method performed by a base station in a communication system, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), a configuration for one or more sub-bands; transmitting, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH); and receiving, from the UE, the PUSCH including an uplink control information (UCI), wherein the UCI is multiplexed in a first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the DCI includes a field indicating the first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands, and
wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified based on the field included in the DCI.
8 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified as a second sub-band selected by the UE, and
wherein the PUSCH includes information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE is multiplexed on the PUSCH over an entire bandwidth of the PUSCH.
10 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the configuration for one or more sub-bands includes a beta-offset value for each sub-band, and
wherein a number of resource elements (REs) for the UCI is identified based on a beta-offset value for the first sub-band for the UCI.
11 . A user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the UE comprising:
a transceiver; and at least one processor operably coupled to the transceiver, the at least one processor configured to:
receive, from a base station, a configuration for one or more sub-bands,
receive, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH),
identify, among the one or more sub-bands, a first sub-band for uplink control information (UCI),
multiplex the UCI on the PUSCH based on the first sub-band for the UCI, and transmit, to the base station, the PUSCH including the UCI.
12 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the DCI includes a field indicating the first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands, and
wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified based on the field included in the DCI.
13 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified as a second sub-band selected by the UE, and
wherein the PUSCH includes information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE.
14 . The UE of claim 13 , wherein the information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE is multiplexed on the PUSCH over an entire bandwidth of the PUSCH.
15 . The UE of claim 11 , wherein the configuration for one or more sub-bands includes a beta-offset value for each sub-band, of the one or more sub-bands and
wherein a number of resource elements (REs) for the UCI is identified based on a beta-offset value for the first sub-band for the UCI.
16 . A base station in a communication system, the base station comprising:
a transceiver; and at least one processor operably coupled to the transceiver, the at least one processor configured to:
transmit, to a user equipment (UE), a configuration for one or more sub-bands,
transmit, to the UE, downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH), and
receive, from the UE, the PUSCH including an uplink control information (UCI),
wherein the UCI is multiplexed in a first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands.
17 . The base station of claim 16 , wherein the DCI includes a field indicating the first sub-band for the UCI among the one or more sub-bands, and
wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified based on the field included in the DCI.
18 . The base station of claim 16 , wherein the first sub-band for the UCI is identified as a second sub-band selected by the UE, and
wherein the PUSCH includes information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE.
19 . The base station of claim 18 , wherein the information indicating the second sub-band selected by the UE is multiplexed on the PUSCH over an entire bandwidth of the PUSCH.
