Abstract

A gaming blanket device is disclosed, which is a blanket in conjunction with a hat designed to block out sunlight while trying to use an electronic device. The gaming blanket device comprises a blanket component that is configured to hang off the bill of a hat component to provide shade. The blanket component would be secured to the bill via hook and loop fasteners to prevent unwanted blanket movement, and to allow for easy user initiated adjusting. The blanket component is lightweight and keeps the user cool rather than providing warmth to prevent overheating. The hat bill makes it easy to work with the electronic device without the blanket component getting in the way of the screen, and thus does not interfere with playing games or watching videos. Accordingly, the device will shade the user's face and their electronic device screen to provide glare-free indoor and outdoor device usage.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1 . A gaming blanket device that provides a user with a means for shading a user while using an electronic device, the gaming blanket device comprising:
a blanket component; and a hat component; wherein the blanket component is secured to the hat component; wherein the hat component is positioned on a user's head and the blanket component is draped over a user's shoulders; and further wherein the blanket component shades a user's face and their electronic device to provide glare-free indoor and outdoor device usage.

2 . The gaming blanket device of claim 1 , wherein the blanket component is lightweight and keeps a user cool rather than providing warmth to prevent overheating.

3 . The gaming blanket device of claim 2 , wherein the blanket component is manufactured from a lightweight material, such as cotton, polyester, microfiber, wool, fleece, cashmere, or linen.

4 . The gaming blanket device of claim 3 , wherein the blanket component is shaped to be longer in a back than a front, to easily fit around a user's shoulders but not get in way of using the electronic device held in front of them.

5 . The gaming blanket device of claim 4 , wherein the blanket component comprises a mesh opening positioned in the front for a user to see out of.

6 . The gaming blanket device of claim 5 , wherein the hat component comprises a plastic hat frame.

7 . The gaming blanket device of claim 6 , wherein the plastic hat frame includes a headband component with a middle securing component and a hat bill.

8 . The gaming blanket device of claim 7 , wherein the headband component comprises an adjustable buckle strap to secure around a circumference of a user's head.

9 . The gaming blanket device of claim 8 , wherein the middle securing component comprises an adjustable buckle strap to secure over a crown of a user's head, from front to back.

10 . The gaming blanket device of claim 9 , wherein the hat bill is secured to a front of the headband component and extends outward from a user's head.

11 . The gaming blanket device of claim 10 , wherein the hat bill includes a plurality of hook and loop components, which secure to the blanket component, securing the blanket component to the hat component.

12 . A gaming blanket device that provides a user with a means for shading a user while using an electronic device, the gaming blanket device comprising:
a blanket component; and a hat component comprising a plastic hat frame with a headband component and a middle section component and a hat bill; wherein the blanket component is lightweight and keeps a user cool rather than providing warmth to prevent overheating; wherein the blanket component is shaped to be longer in a back than a front, to easily fit around a user's shoulders but not get in way of using the electronic device held in front of them; wherein the blanket component comprises a mesh opening positioned in the front for a user to see out of; wherein the hat bill includes a plurality of hook and loop components, which secure to the blanket component, securing the blanket component to the hat component; wherein the hat component is positioned on a user's head and the blanket component is draped over a user's shoulders; and further wherein the blanket component shades a user's face and their electronic device to provide glare-free indoor and outdoor device usage.

13 . The gaming blanket device of claim 12 , wherein the headband component and the middle securing component both comprise an adjustable buckle strap to secure around a user's head.

14 . The gaming blanket device of claim 13 , wherein the hat bill is secured to a front of the headband component and extends outward from a user's head.

15 . The gaming blanket device of claim 12 , wherein the hook and loop fasteners are located at a top and sides of the hat bill.

16 . The gaming blanket device of claim 15 , wherein the hook and loop fasteners are located on the headband component or the middle securing component of the hat component.

17 . The gaming blanket device of claim 12 , wherein the blanket component is comprised of a plurality of colors, patterns, styles, themes, characters, or designs.

18 . The gaming blanket device of claim 17 wherein the blanket component depicts a favorite character, animal, drawing or theme.
