Abstract
An air handling unit may include a cabinet including a main housing, a front of which is open, a panel configured to open and close the front of the main housing, and an air inlet and air outlet; a fan that is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet and suctions air from the air inlet to the air outlet; at least one heat exchanger that is disposed between the air inlet and the fan and exchanges heat with the air suctioned from the air inlet; a filter bracket that is fixed to the cabinet and supports a filter; and a front beam that is disposed between the fan and the heat exchanger and extends in a lateral direction in such a way that both end portions of the front beam are respectively fixed to first and second lateral plates of the main housing. The heat exchanger may be supported in an upward direction selectively by the filter bracket or the front beam.

1 . An air handling unit, comprising:
a cabinet including a main housing, a front of which is open, a panel configured to open and close the front of the main housing, and an air inlet and air outlet; a fan that is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet and suctions air from the air inlet to the air outlet; at least one heat exchanger that is disposed between the air inlet and the fan and exchanges heat with the air suctioned from the air inlet; a filter bracket that is fixed to the cabinet and configured to support a filter; and a front beam that is disposed between the fan and the heat exchanger and extends in a lateral direction in such a way that end portions of the front beam are respectively fixed to first and second lateral plates of the main housing, wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported in an upward direction selectively by the filter bracket or the front beam.
2 . The air handling unit of claim 1 , wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the filter bracket in a regular disposition state in which the air inlet faces in a downward direction, and wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the front beam in a reverse disposition state in which the air inlet faces upward.
3 . The air handling unit of claim 1 , wherein a pair of hold holes is provided at each of the first and second lateral plates of the cabinet, and wherein the front beam is provided with a pair of hold hooks configured to pass through the pair of hold holes, respectively, at positions spaced in the lateral direction such that the end portions of the front beam protrude toward the at least one heat exchanger and control an assembly position of the front beam and the cabinet.
4 . The air handling unit of claim 3 , wherein each of the plurality of hold holes is provided with a tapered portion, a width of which decreases toward the at least one heat exchanger.
5 . The air handling unit of claim 1 , wherein the filter bracket comprises:
a pair of rail members each including a rail configured to guide insertion and withdrawal of the filter in a frontward-rearward direction thereof, and that extends in the frontward-rearward direction to respectively support both sides of the filter in the lateral direction thereof; a pair of beams that extends in the lateral direction and spaced from each other in the frontward-rearward direction, wherein end portions of the pair of beams, respectively, are connected to the pair of rail members; and a filter cover installed at an end portion at a front of the filter bracket and configured to open and close the front of the filter bracket.
6 . The air handling unit of claim 5 , wherein each of the plurality of beams comprises:
a main support having a predetermined width and extending in the lateral direction; a stiffness reinforcement portion that extends from end portions at both sides of the main support in a widthwise direction thereof and that extends in a direction in which the main support extends and the widthwise direction of the main support; and a pair of side supports that extends from the end portions at both sides of the main support, wherein a first beam disposed forward out of the pair of beams is disposed in such a way that the main support is parallel with the filter, and a second beam disposed rearward out of the pair of beams is disposed in such a way that the main support is parallel with a surface at a rear side of the main housing.
7 . The air handling unit of claim 6 , further comprising a drain pan that is disposed between the filter bracket and the at least one heat exchanger and supports the at least one heat exchanger, wherein the drain pan is disposed at the main support of the first beam and the pair of rail members.

The air handling unit of claim 7 , wherein the drain pan has at least one escape prevention hook that extends toward the filter bracket and an end portion of which protrudes rearward, at a front end portion thereof, and wherein the first beam has at least one hook accommodation portion into which the at least one escape prevention hook is inserted, and which interferes with the at least one escape prevention hook.
9 . The air handling unit of claim 7 , wherein an escape prevention plate that extends toward the drain pan and is configured to interfere with an upper surface of the drain pan is connected to the second beam.
10 . The air handling unit of claim 1 , wherein the front beam forms a middle bracket, together with a pair of side beams that extends in a frontward-rearward direction and that is fixed to the first and second lateral plates of the cabinet.
11 . The air handling unit of claim 10 , wherein each of the pair of side beams comprises a hold projection that extends forward, and wherein the cabinet comprises a hold portion configured to interfere with the hold projection in a heightwise direction.
12 . The air handling unit of claim 11 , each of the side beams further comprises:
a main support having a predetermined width in the lateral direction and extending in the frontward-rearward direction; and a rear surface support that extends from a rear end portion of the main support in the heightwise direction, wherein the hold projection contacts the cabinet in the forward direction, and the rear surface support contacts the cabinet in the rearward direction.
13 . The air handling unit of claim 12 , wherein the rear surface support has a bent portion that is bent forward, at a front end portion thereof.
14 . The air handling unit of claim 10 , wherein the front beam comprises:
a main support having a predetermined width in the heightwise direction and extending in the lateral direction; and a stiffness reinforcement portion that extends from end portions at both sides of the main support in a widthwise direction thereof, and wherein each of the pair of side beams comprises:
a main support having a predetermined width in the lateral direction and extending in the frontward-rearward direction; and
a stiffness reinforcement portion that extends from end portions at both sides of the main support in a widthwise direction thereof, wherein both end portions of the stiffness reinforcement portion of the front beam in the lateral direction thereof are disposed further inward in the lateral direction than end portions inside of the main support of the side beam in the lateral direction thereof.
15 . The air handling unit of claim 14 , wherein the pair of side beams each comprises:
a first flange that extends from the main support and connects to the front beam; and a second flange that extends from the stiffness reinforcement portion and connects to the front beam.
16 . The air handling unit of claim 15 , wherein the second flange extends inward from the stiffness reinforcement portion of the side beam in the lateral direction and interferes with the stiffness reinforcement portion of the front beam in a heightwise direction.
17 . The air handling unit of claim 14 , where the stiffness reinforcement portion of the side beam comprises an outer stiffness reinforcement portion provided at an outside of the side beam in the lateral direction and configured to contact the first and second lateral plates of the cabinet, and wherein the outer stiffness reinforcement portion has a bent portion that is bent inward in the lateral direction, at a front end portion thereof.
18 . The air handling unit of claim 10 , wherein the air handling unit comprises a drain pan disposed between the middle bracket and the heat exchanger and configured to support the heat exchanger, and wherein the drain pan is disposed toward the side beam.
19 . The air handling unit of claim 18 , wherein the drain pan has an escape prevention hook that extends toward the middle bracket and an end portion of which protrudes rearward, at a front end portion thereof, and wherein the front beam has a hook accommodation portion into which the escape prevention hook is inserted and which interferes with the escape prevention hook.
20 . An air handling unit, comprising:
a cabinet including an air inlet and air outlet; a fan that is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet and suctions air from the air inlet to the air outlet; at least one heat exchanger that is disposed between the air inlet and the fan and exchanges heat with the air suctioned from the air inlet; a filter bracket that is fixed to the cabinet and configured to support a filter; and a front beam that is disposed between the fan and the heat exchanger, extends in a lateral direction, and fixed to first and second lateral plates of the main housing, wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the filter bracket in a regular disposition state in which the air inlet faces in a downward direction, and wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the front beam in a reverse disposition state in which the air inlet faces upward.
21 . An air handling unit, comprising:
a cabinet including an air inlet and air outlet; a fan that is disposed between the air inlet and the air outlet and suctions air from the air inlet to the air outlet; at least one heat exchanger that is disposed between the air inlet and the fan and exchanges heat with the air suctioned from the air inlet; a filter bracket that is fixed to the cabinet and configured to support a filter; and a front beam that is disposed between the fan and the heat exchanger, extends in a lateral direction, and fixed to first and second lateral plates of the main housing, wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the filter bracket in a regular disposition state in which the air inlet faces in a downward direction, and wherein the at least one heat exchanger is supported by the front beam in a reverse disposition state in which the air inlet faces upward and wherein the front beam forms a middle bracket, together with a pair of side beams that extends in a frontward-rearward direction and that is fixed to the first and second lateral plates of the cabinet.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
