Abstract
Described herein is an aerosol generating assembly including a heater and an aerosolizable material, wherein the heater is arranged to heat the aerosolizable material in use, wherein the aerosolizable material includes at least two sections having different compositions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An aerosol generating assembly comprising:
a heater; and an aerosol generating article for use in the aerosol generating assembly, the aerosol generating article comprising an aerosolizable material and a cooling element, wherein the heater is arranged to heat the aerosolizable material in use, and wherein the aerosolizable material comprises a tobacco rod having a first section and a second section in abutting, adjacent relation, the first section comprising a first composition depleted in one or more volatile components relative to a second composition in the second section, wherein the heater is arranged relative to the aerosolizable material such that heating of the first section of aerosolizable material is initiated prior to heating of the second section, and wherein each of the first section and the second section contain tobacco.
2 . The aerosol generating assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the assembly is configured to provide a different heat profile to each of the first section and the second section.
3 . The aerosol generating assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the first and second sections are cylindrical and each is arranged coaxially along the tobacco rod of aerosolizable material.
4 . The aerosol generating assembly according to claim 1 , comprising at least two heaters, wherein the at least two heaters are arranged to respectively heat different sections of the aerosolizable material.
5 . The aerosol generating assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the aerosolizable material is insertable into the heater such that the first section and the second section are independently heatable.
6 . An aerosol generating article for use in an aerosol generating assembly having a heater, the aerosol generating article comprising an aerosolizable material and a cooling element, wherein the aerosolizable material comprises a tobacco rod, the tobacco rod comprising:
a first section and a second section in abutting, adjacent relation, the first section and the second section having different compositions and wherein the composition in the first section of the aerosolizable material is depleted in one or more volatile components relative to the composition in the second section, wherein the aerosolizable material is arranged relative to the heater such that heating of the first section of aerosolizable material is initiated prior to heating of the second section, and wherein each of the first section and the second section contain tobacco.
7 . The aerosol generating article according to claim 6 , the aerosolizable material being configured such that the first section is relatively depleted in one or more volatile components compared to the second section.
8 . The aerosol generating article according to claim 6 , further comprising a filter.
9 . The aerosol generating article according to claim 6 wherein the aerosolizable material is insertable into the heater such that the first section and the second section are independently heatable.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
