Apparatus, system and method for modular manufacture of cooking appliances

Abstract

An apparatus, system and method for a manufactured cooking appliance. The apparatus, system and method may include: a generic device shell comprising at least a power supplying wire harness and a plurality of female latching points on a top and a front thereof; a folding module comprising a cooktop and, hinged to the cooktop, an oven front comprising at least an oven door fittedly associated with a frame and having a door hinge connected to the over door and passing through the frame; and a plurality of male latches associated with the folding module, including at least one male latch associated with the portion of the door hinge that passes through the frame, each capable of latching into a corresponded one of the plurality of female latching points so as to, upon the latching, form a completed one of the manufactured stove.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A range, comprising:
 a shell comprising a back, bottom, and sides of the range, the shell having a plurality of first latches on a top and a front side thereof; and   a foldable assembly comprising a plurality of second latches disposed about a cooktop hingedly coupled with an oven front,   wherein in an unfolded configuration, the foldable assembly is coupled with the shell such that the plurality of first latches and the plurality of second latches interface with one another, the cooktop forms a top of the range, and the oven front forms the front of the range.   
     
     
         2 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the shell further comprises a power wiring harness. 
     
     
         3 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the first latches comprise female latches configured to interface with the second latches that comprise male latches. 
     
     
         4 . The range of  claim 3 , wherein the female latches comprise internal slots to receive the male latches. 
     
     
         5 . The range of  claim 3 , wherein the male latches comprise clips. 
     
     
         6 . The range of  claim 3 , wherein the male latches comprise springs. 
     
     
         7 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the first latches comprise male latches configured to interface with the second latches that comprise female latches. 
     
     
         8 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the cooktop comprises a plurality of burners. 
     
     
         9 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the oven front further comprises an oven door hingedly coupled to a frame of the oven front. 
     
     
         10 . The range of  claim 9 , wherein the oven door is hingedly coupled to the frame via a hinge connected to the oven door and that passes through the frame, and wherein the hinge is configured to interface with one of the plurality of first latches such that the frame is coupled to the shell. 
     
     
         11 . The range of  claim 1 , wherein the oven front further comprises a recessed hinge accommodation that passes through a frame of the oven front, and a hinge that hinges in and out of the hinge accommodation to rotate an oven door about the frame. 
     
     
         12 . A range, comprising:
 a shell comprising a back, bottom, and sides of the range, the shell having a plurality of first latches on a top and a front side thereof; and   a foldable assembly comprising a plurality of second latches disposed about a cooktop hingedly coupled with an oven front comprising an oven door hingedly coupled to a frame of the oven front via a hinge that passes through the frame,   wherein the foldable assembly is coupled with the shell such that the plurality of first latches and the plurality of second latches interface with one another, the hinge of the oven door interfaces with one of the plurality of first latches, the cooktop forms a top of the range, and the oven front forms the front of the range.   
     
     
         13 . The range of  claim 12 , wherein the shell further comprises a power wiring harness. 
     
     
         14 . The range of  claim 12 , wherein the oven front further comprises a recessed hinge accommodation that passes through a frame of the oven front, and the hinge is configured to hinge in and out of the hinge accommodation to rotate the oven door about the frame. 
     
     
         15 . The range of  claim 12 , wherein the shell further comprises a power wiring harness. 
     
     
         16 . The range of  claim 12 , wherein the first latches comprise female latches configured to interface with the second latches that comprise male latches. 
     
     
         17 . The range of  claim 16 , wherein the female latches comprise internal slots to receive the male latches. 
     
     
         18 . The range of  claim 16 , wherein the male latches comprise clips. 
     
     
         19 . The range of  claim 16 , wherein the male latches comprise springs. 
     
     
         20 . The range of  claim 16 , wherein the cooktop comprises a plurality of burners.
