Laundry treating apparatus
Abstract
Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet having an opening defined therein; a tub disposed inside the cabinet; a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub; a detergent storage unit retractable into the cabinet through the opening, wherein detergent is stored in an storage space of the detergent storage unit; a detergent reservoir having a detergent injection hole defined therein communicating with the storage space of the detergent storage unit; and a detergent cap fitted into the detergent injection hole, wherein the detergent cap includes a ventilation path defined therein to communicate an outside of the detergent reservoir with the storage space of the detergent storage unit, wherein the ventilation path has an outer end communicating with the outside of the detergent reservoir, wherein the outer end is open and extends in a lateral direction of the detergent cap.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
a cabinet; a tub disposed inside the cabinet; a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub; a detergent reservoir located inside the cabinet, the detergent reservoir including an storage space where detergent is stored and a detergent injection hole communicating with the storage space; a cap body, at least a part of the cap body being configured to be inserted into the detergent injection hole; a cap flange portion protruding from the cap body in a radial direction and extending along a circumferential surface of the cap body to be located above the detergent injection hole; a leg engaging portion protruding from the cap body in the radial direction and located beneath the detergent injection hole to couple the cap body with the detergent reservoir; and a flow channel recessed in a surface of the cap flange portion facing the detergent injection hole and communicate the storage space of the detergent reservoir to an outside of the detergent reservoir, wherein the flow channel comprises a first channel and a second channel provided at symmetrical positions with the cap body interposed therebetween.
2 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first channel is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to a reference line passing through a center of the cap body, and the second channel is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to the reference line.
3 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising an open groove provided in the cap body to be recessed towards a center of the cap body to communicate the storage space of the detergent reservoir to the flow channel.
4 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the open groove comprises a first groove and a second groove provided at symmetrical positions with the cap body interposed therebetween.
5 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the first groove is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to a reference line passing through the center of the cap body, and the second groove is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to the reference line.
6 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the first channel and the first groove are aligned in an insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole, and the second channel and the second groove are aligned in the insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole.
7 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the leg engaging portion comprises a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion provided at symmetrical positions with the cap body interposed therebetween.
8 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the first engaging portion is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to a reference line passing through a center of the cap body, and the second engaging portion is provided in a symmetrical shape with respect to the reference line.
9 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the first channel and the first engaging portion are aligned in an insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole, and the second channel and the second engaging portion are aligned in the insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole.
10 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the leg engaging portion comprises a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion provided at symmetrical positions with the cap body interposed therebetween.
11 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the first channel, the first groove and the first engaging portion are aligned in an insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole, and the second channel, the second groove and the second engaging portion are aligned in the insertion direction of the cap body into the detergent injection hole.
12 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein an inlet of the flow channel is provided on the circumferential surface of the cap flange portion to communicate the storage space with an outside of the detergent reservoir.
13 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the flow channel extends from the circumferential surface of the cap flange portion toward the cap body along the radial direction of the cap flange portion.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
