Abstract
A package for a delivery system includes an outer container having an access, and an inner container having a wrapper configured to surround at least one delivery system. The wrapper is sealed by the closure of its openings. The wrapper includes a first layer having a paper-based material. The inner container is free-from an inner frame.

exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A package for a delivery system, the package comprising:
an outer container comprising an access; an inner container comprising a wrapper configured to surround at least one delivery system, the wrapper being sealed by the closure of its openings; wherein the wrapper comprises a first layer comprising a paper based material; and wherein the inner container is free from an inner frame.
2 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the paper based material is a coated paper.
3 . The package according to claim 2 , wherein the coated paper comprises a paper layer with a barrier coating.
4 . The package according to claim 3 , wherein the barrier coating is a metallized layer.
5 . The package according to claim 3 , wherein the barrier coating is a plastic film coating or varnish layer.
6 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the paper based material is a barrier paper.
7 . The package according to claim 6 , wherein the barrier paper comprises a paper layer impregnated with a barrier material.
8 . The package according to claim 7 , wherein the barrier material is a plastic, varnish, or metal.
9 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper further comprises a second layer.
10 . The package according to claim 9 , wherein the second layer comprises a metallized layer.
11 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper further comprises a third layer.
12 . The package according to claim 11 , wherein the third layer comprises a plastic film coating or a varnish layer.
13 . The package according to claim 1 , further comprising an inner frame located within the outer container and outside the inner container.
14 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein each component of the package is formed from at least the first layer of paper based material.
15 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the paper based material has a paper weight of less than 70 gsm, optionally less than 50 gsm, and optionally less than 45 gsm.
16 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper further comprises a first clay layer on the inner surface of the first layer, and optionally, a second clay layer on the outer surface of the first layer.
17 . The package according to claim 16 , wherein one of second layer and the third layer is applied on the inner surface of the first clay layer.
18 . The package according to claim 17 , wherein the other of the second layer and the third layer is applied on the inner surface of the second or third layer on the inner surface of the first clay layer.
19 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper has a water vapor permeability of less than 8 g/m2/24 hr.
20 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper is sealed at its overlapping edges.
21 . The package according to claim 20 , wherein the wrapper is sealed by adhered together overlapping edges of the wrapper when the wrapper is folded to form the inner container.
22 . The package according to claim 20 , wherein the wrapper comprises a continuous section of adhesive extending along each of the overlapping edges of the wrapper when the wrapper is folded to form the inner container.
23 . The package according to claim 22 , wherein the wrapper comprises a continuous section of adhesive extending around the whole perimeter of the inner surface of the wrapper.
24 . The package according to claim 20 , wherein the sealed overlapping edges of the wrapper form a hermetic seal, such that the inner package is hermetically sealed before its first opening.
25 . The package according to claim 1 , further comprising a tamper evident means.
26 . The package according to claim 25 , wherein the tamper evident means is located on the base and lid, the lid having a portion of a front lid wall flap attached to a front wall of the base.
27 . The package according to claim 26 , wherein the portion of the front lid wall flap comprises a line of weakening.
28 . The package according to claim 25 , wherein the tamper evident means is located on the wrapper.
29 . The package according to claim 1 , wherein the wrapper forming the inner container comprises a first end wall proximate the lid end of the package and a second end wall longitudinally distant from the first end wall, the first end wall comprising a first flap and a second flap, which extend from opposing sides of the first end wall and are attached to each other and configured to seal the inner container.
30 . The package according to claim 29 , wherein the wrapper comprises a portion, the portion comprising the first flap of the first end wall, the first portion being at least partially separable from a remainder of the wrapper to unseal the inner container and allow access to the inside thereof.
31 . The package according to claim 29 , wherein the first flap is resealably attached to the second flap.

The package according to claim 29 , wherein the first flap is larger than the second flap such that the first flap is configured to extend substantially over the first end wall of the inner container towards the opposing side of the first end wall such that the first flap overlaps substantially all of the second flap.
33 . The package according to claim 32 , wherein the distance between the first flap and the opposing side wall is smaller than the distance between the second flap and its opposing side of the first end wall.
34 . The package according to claim 29 , wherein the first flap comprises a first part and a second part, the first part being secured to the second flap and the second part being unsecured to the second flap, the second part being configured to be pulled by a user to at least partially separate the portion of the wrapper from the remainder of the wrapper to allow access to the inside of the inner container.
35 . The package according to claim 34 , wherein the first flap comprises a fold line defining one end of the first flap, and the first part of the first flap is located between the fold line and the second part of the first flap such that the second part forms a free end of the first flap.
36 . The package according to claim 35 , wherein the first flap further comprises a tab which extends from the free end of the second part of the first flap, the tab being configured to be pulled by a user to open the inner container.
37 . The package according to claim 29 , wherein the first part of the first flap is sealed to the second flap by a resealable adhesive.
38 . The package according to claim 29 , wherein the inner container further comprises a first line of weakening configured to aid separation of the portion of the wrapper from the remainder of the wrapper to allow access to the inner container.
39 . The package according to claim 38 , wherein the inner container comprises a plurality of side walls extending between the first end wall and the second end wall, and wherein the first line of weakening extends at least partially around at least one of the plurality of side walls to define the portion that is separable from the remainder of the wrapper of the inner container.
40 . The package according to claim 39 , wherein the plurality of side walls comprises a first side wall, and the first line of weakening extends at least partially across the first side wall of the inner container.
41 . The package according to claim 40 , wherein the first line of weakening is configured such that the portion that is separable from the remainder of the wrapper comprises the first flap and a section of the first side wall.
42 . The package according to claim 41 , wherein the first side wall is joined to the first end wall along a first edge, and the first line of weakening extends partially along the first edge from an extremity of the first flap.
43 . The package according to claim 40 , wherein the first line of weakening extending across the first side wall is substantially U-shaped.
44 . The package according to claim 43 , wherein the first line of weakening extending through the first side wall comprises a lower portion and two side portions, the side portions having a draft angle of between 10 degrees and 40 degrees with respect to a longitudinal axis of the inner container.
45 . The package according to claim 41 , wherein the first end wall further comprises third and fourth flaps, and wherein the first line of weakening is configured such that the portion that is separable from the remainder of the wrapper further comprises at least a part of the third and fourth flaps.
46 . The package according to claim 45 , wherein the third and fourth flaps are joined to third and fourth side walls along third and fourth edges, respectively, and wherein the first line of weakening extends from the first edge at least partially along the third and fourth edges.
47 . The package according to claim 41 , wherein the inner container further comprises a second line of weakening configured such that the portion that is separable from the remainder of the wrapper further comprises a portion of the second flap of the first end wall.
48 . The package according to claim 47 , wherein the second flap of the first end wall comprises a first part and a second part separated by the second line of weakening, wherein the first part of the second flap is secured to the first flap of the first end wall, and the second line of weakening is configured such that the portion that is separable from the remainder of the wrapper further comprises the first part of the second flap.
49 . The package according to claim 47 , wherein the first and second lines of weakening are integrally formed.
50 . The package according to claim 41 , wherein the inner container comprises a third side wall and a fourth side wall, the third and fourth side walls being located adjacent to the first side wall, and wherein the first line of weakening extends across the first side wall and at least partially across the third and fourth side walls such that the portion which is separable from the remainder of the wrapper further comprises at least a part of the third and fourth side walls.
51 . The package according to claim 50 , wherein the third and fourth side walls each comprise a first flap and a second flap, the first and second flaps being sealed together, and the first line of weakening extending across the third and fourth walls such that the portion which is separable from the remainder of the wrapper comprise the first flap and at least a portion of the second flap of the third and fourth side walls.
52 . The package according to claim 39 , wherein the first line of weakening extends through each of the plurality of side walls circumferentially around the entire inner container.
53 . The package according to claim 50 , wherein the first line of weakening extends parallel to the first edge of the inner container.
