Wipe Dispenser

Abstract

A wipe dispenser is disclosed. The wipe dispenser has an ellipsoidal housing having at least two equal principal horizontal axes, an interior wipe storage space, a lower housing, and an upper housing. The lower housing has a bottom wall and a first side wall. The upper housing has a top wall and a second side wall. The top wall has a wipe dispensation aperture. The upper housing disconnectably engaged to the lower housing.

The invention claimed is: 
     
         1 . A wipe dispenser, comprising:
 an ellipsoidal housing comprising at least two equal principal horizontal axes, an interior wipe storage area, a lower housing, and an upper housing;   the lower housing comprising a bottom wall and a first side wall; and,   the upper housing comprising a top wall and a second side wall, the top wall comprising a wipe dispensation aperture, the upper housing disconnectably engaged to the lower housing.   
     
     
         2 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the first side wall surrounds the bottom wall, and wherein the second side wall surrounds the top wall. 
     
     
         3 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the upper housing comprises a handle, the top wall comprises a handle recess, the handle is moveable from a stored position where the handle is within the handle recess and a raised position where the handle extends out of the handle recess. 
     
     
         4 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a lid mounted to the upper housing, the lid is movable between a closed position where the lid covers the wipe dispensation aperture and an open position where the lid is positioned to allow access to the wipe dispensation aperture. 
     
     
         5 . The dispenser of  claim 4 , wherein the lid is mounted to the upper housing to provide a planar path of motion to the lid between the closed position and the open position. 
     
     
         6 . The dispenser of  claim 4 , comprising a post, the post connected to the lid, the post extending perpendicular from the lid, the post pivotally received in a post mount aperture of the upper housing, the lid is pivotal about the post mount aperture to move between the closed position and the open position. 
     
     
         7 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the upper housing rotationally engages the lower housing. 
     
     
         8 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a detent mechanism for releasably holding the upper housing engaged to the lower housing. 
     
     
         9 . The dispenser of  claim 8 , wherein the detent mechanism comprises a projection and recess, the projection removably received in the recess to releasably hold the upper housing engaged to the lower housing. 
     
     
         10 . The dispenser of  claim 8 , wherein the detent mechanism comprises a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of receivers, the upper housing comprises the plurality of protrusions or the plurality of receivers and the lower housing comprises the other of the plurality of protrusions or the plurality of receivers; each of the plurality of protrusions comprises a detent projection and each of the plurality of receivers comprises a detent recess, each of the plurality of protrusions is receivable in to a corresponding receiver of the plurality of receivers, and each detent projection is receivable into a corresponding one of the detent recesses to disconnectably engage the upper housing to the lower housing. 
     
     
         11 . The dispenser of  claim 10 , wherein the plurality of protrusions comprises at least four protrusions, and the plurality of receivers comprises at least four receivers, and each of the protrusions is spaced apart ninety degrees from each adjacent protrusion, and each of the receivers is spaced apart ninety degrees from each adjacent receiver. 
     
     
         12 . The dispenser of  claim 10 , wherein each of the plurality of protrusions are fixed to a bottom interior of the second side wall or a top interior of the first side wall, and each of the plurality of receivers are fixed to the other of the bottom interior of the second side wall or the top interior of the first side wall. 
     
     
         13 . The dispenser of  claim 11 , wherein each of the plurality of protrusions are fixed to a bottom interior of the second side wall, and each of the plurality of receivers are fixed to a top interior of the first side wall. 
     
     
         14 . The dispenser of  claim 10 , wherein the upper housing is rotatable to engage each protrusion to the corresponding receiver and each detent projection to the corresponding detent recess. 
     
     
         15 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a lip and a slot, wherein the second side wall comprises the lip or the slot at a lower end of the second side wall and the first side wall comprises the other of the lip or the slot at an upper end of the first side wall, the lip is received in the slot when the upper housing is engaged to the lower housing. 
     
     
         16 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the lower housing comprises at least two side handles on opposite sides of the lower housing. 
     
     
         17 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the upper housing is transparent or translucent. 
     
     
         18 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , wherein the upper housing and the lower housing each comprise about half of an entire height of the dispenser. 
     
     
         19 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a wall mount bracket, the bracket comprises a first portion that intersects a second portion, the second portion is fixed to the bottom wall. 
     
     
         20 . The dispenser of  claim 1 , comprising a stand, the stand comprises a base, a stand side wall, and an interface ring, the interface ring extends above the stand side wall, the lower housing is supported by the interface ring and is within the stand, and the upper housing extends above the interface ring. 
     
     
         21 . The dispenser of  claim 20 , wherein the stand side wall is cylindrical and comprises a disposal opening. 
     
     
         22 . The dispenser of  claim 20 , wherein the stand is a floor stand. 
     
     
         23 . A wipe dispenser, comprising:
 an ellipsoidal housing comprising at least two equal principal horizontal axes, an interior wipe storage area, a lower housing, and an upper housing;   the lower housing comprising a bottom wall and a first side wall; and,   the upper housing comprising a top wall and a second side wall, the top wall comprising a wipe dispensation aperture, the upper housing disconnectably engaged to the lower housing; and,   a stand, comprising a stand side wall and an interface ring, the interface ring extends above the stand side wall, the lower housing is supported by the interface ring and is within the stand, the upper housing extends above the interface ring.
