The laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet disposed on a lower treating apparatus configured to accommodate and treat laundry and an accommodation unit provided in the cabinet to accommodate and treat laundry. The cabinet is provided at a lower portion thereof with an exposed portion to expose at least a portion of an internal component provided in the cabinet to the outside of the cabinet, and the exposed portion is opened or closed by the lower treating apparatus.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
a cabinet disposed on a lower treating apparatus configured to accommodate and treat laundry; and an accommodation unit provided in the cabinet, the accommodation unit being configured to accommodate and treat laundry, wherein the cabinet is provided at a lower portion thereof with an exposed portion to expose at least a portion of an internal component provided in the cabinet to an outside of the cabinet, and wherein the exposed portion is opened or closed by the lower treating apparatus.
2 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a tub provided in the cabinet, the tub being configured to store water; and a drain unit connected to the tub, the drain unit being configured to discharge water in the tub, wherein the accommodation unit is rotatably provided in the tub, and wherein the internal component is provided in the drain unit or is connected to the drain unit.
3 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a tub provided in the cabinet, the tub being configured to store water; and a drain unit connected to the tub, the drain unit being configured to discharge water in the tub, wherein the accommodation unit is rotatably provided in the tub, wherein the internal component comprises a drain filter provided in the drain unit, the drain filter being configured to filter water, and wherein the drain filter is withdrawable out of the cabinet through the exposed portion.
4 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a tub provided in the cabinet, the tub being configured to store water; and a drain unit connected to the tub, the drain unit being configured to discharge water in the tub, wherein the accommodation unit is rotatably provided in the tub, wherein the internal component comprises a remaining water pipe configured to discharge water remaining in the drain unit, and wherein the remaining water pipe extends to an outside of the cabinet through the exposed portion.
5 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising:
a tub provided in the cabinet, the tub being configured to store water; and a detergent supply unit connected to the tub, the detergent supply unit being configured to supply detergent to an interior of the tub, wherein the accommodation unit is rotatably provided in the tub, wherein the internal component comprises a storage part of the detergent supply unit, the storage part being configured to store the detergent, and wherein the storage part is withdrawable out of the cabinet through the exposed portion.
6 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the detergent supply unit comprises a detergent delivery part penetrating the cabinet, the detergent delivery part being configured to supply the detergent to an interior of the lower treating apparatus.
7 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the lower treating apparatus comprises:
a lower cabinet configured to support the cabinet upward; and a drawer configured to be retracted into or withdrawn from the lower cabinet, and wherein the exposed portion is closed in a retracted state of the drawer and is open in a withdrawn state of the drawer.
8 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the exposed portion is disposed on a front surface of the cabinet,
wherein the drawer comprises a front portion configured to form a front surface of the lower treating apparatus in the retracted state thereof, and wherein the exposed portion is closed by the front portion in the retracted state of the drawer.
9 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the cabinet comprises a front panel, and
wherein, in the retracted state of the drawer, a front surface of the front panel is located on the same plane as a front surface of the front portion.
10 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein, based on a forward-backward direction of the cabinet, the front panel of the cabinet has a thickness identical to a thickness of the front portion.
11 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the cabinet comprises a front panel, and
wherein the exposed portion is located below the front panel and is located farther backward than a front surface of the front panel.
12 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 8 , wherein the front portion comprises an upward protruding portion protruding upward beyond the lower cabinet, and
wherein the exposed portion is shielded from an outside by the upward protruding portion in the retracted state of the drawer.
13 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the upward protruding portion comprises an upper recess concavely formed in a rear surface thereof so as to be away from the exposed portion, and
wherein the internal component on the exposed portion protrudes forward and is received in the upper recess in the retracted state of the drawer.
14 . The laundry treating apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein the upward protruding portion comprises:
a front protruding portion configured to define a front surface of the upward protruding portion; and side protruding portions respectively provided at both end portions of the front protruding portion in a width direction of the cabinet and extending backward from the front protruding portion, and wherein, in the retracted state of the drawer, the exposed portion is shielded from a front by the front protruding portion and is shielded from a side by the side protruding portions.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
