Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet having a laundry inlet defined therein, a tub providing a space to store water and including a tub inlet defined therein, a connection body connecting the laundry inlet with the tub inlet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub to store laundry therein, an air supply including a chamber located above the tub, a chamber supply flow channel guiding air inside the tub to the chamber, and a tub supply flow channel guiding air in the chamber to the connection body, a heat exchanger assembly that sequentially performs dehumidification and heating of air introduced into the chamber, and a detergent supply that supplies detergent to the tub via a detergent supply pipe, wherein the detergent supply opens and closes the detergent supply pipe.

A method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet having a laundry inlet defined therein, a tub providing a space to store water and including a tub inlet defined therein, a connection body connecting the laundry inlet with the tub inlet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub to store laundry therein, an air supply including a chamber located above the tub, a chamber supply flow channel guiding air inside the tub to the chamber, and a tub supply flow channel guiding air in the chamber to the connection body, a heat exchanger assembly configured to sequentially perform dehumidification and heating of air introduced into the chamber, and a detergent supply configured to supply detergent to the tub via a detergent supply pipe, wherein the detergent supply is configured to open and close the detergent supply pipe, the method comprising:
a water supply operation of supplying water to the tub to a reference water level set higher than a vertical level of a lowermost end of the drum; and a washing operation of rotating the drum at a preset cleaning rotation number such that water inside the tub circulates along an inner circumferential surface of the tub, wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations capable of supplying water in the tub to the chamber supply flow channel.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations raising a level of water inside the tub to a point lower than a connection point of the chamber and the chamber supply flow channel.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the chamber supply flow channel has at least a partial section formed as a corrugated pipe, and the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations raising the level of water inside the tub to at least a partial area of the corrugated pipe.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations allowing water in the tub to flow along a circumferential surface of the connection body.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein a connection point of the tub supply flow channel and the connection body is located at a point higher than a horizontal line passing through a center of the connection body, and
wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations raising a level of water to a point lower than the connection point of the tub supply flow channel and the connection body.
6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising a foreign substance removal operation of removing foreign substances from the chamber supply flow channel via a washer configured to spray water into the chamber supply flow channel.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the foreign substance removal operation is performed before start of the washing operation.
8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the foreign substance removal operation is performed during execution of the water supply operation.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the reference water level is set higher than the vertical level of the lowermost end of the drum and lower than a vertical level of a lowermost end of the connection body.
10 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising a drainage operation of draining water inside the tub after completion of the washing operation.
11 . A method for controlling a laundry treating apparatus including a cabinet having a laundry inlet defined therein, a tub providing a space to store water and including a tub inlet defined therein, a connection body connecting the laundry inlet with the tub inlet, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub to store laundry therein, an air supply including a chamber located above the tub, a chamber supply flow channel guiding air inside the tub to the chamber, and a tub supply flow channel guiding air in the chamber to the connection body, a heat exchanger assembly configured to sequentially perform dehumidification and heating of air introduced into the chamber, and a detergent supply configured to supply detergent to the tub via a detergent supply pipe, wherein the detergent supply is configured to open and close the detergent supply pipe, the method comprising:
a water supply operation of supplying water to the tub until a reference water level set higher than a vertical level of a lowermost end of the drum is reached; and a washing operation of rotating the drum at a preset cleaning rotation number such that water inside the tub circulates along an inner circumferential surface of the connection body, wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations allowing water inside the tub to flow along a circumferential surface of the connection body.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the cleaning rotation number is set to a number of rotations raising a level of water inside the tub to a point lower than a connection point of the connection body and the tub supply flow channel.
