Golf Training Aid

Abstract

A golf training aid with alignment sticks includes an elongate member with a longitudinal axis and a first and second set of holes. The first set of holes is spaced apart farther than the second set. The elongate member also has a target alignment hole positioned in between the first and second set of holes. All the holes are constructed to receive and hold an alignment stick. The golf training aid has least two configurations: a wide hitting box configuration and a narrow box configuration.

         16 . A golf training aid comprising:
 a board having:
 a front face, 
 a rear face facing opposite the front face, a thickness dimension of the board extending from the rear face to the front face, 
 a top side surface extending between respective upper edges of the front face and the rear face, 
 a bottom side surface, opposite the top side surface, extending between respective lower edges of the front face and the rear face, a width dimension of the board extending between the top side surface and the bottom side surface, 
 a left side surface extending between respective first side edges of the front face and the rear face, and between respective first ends of the top side surface and the bottom side surface, 
 a right side surface, opposite the left side surface, extending between respective second side edges of the front face and the rear face, and between respective second ends of the top side surface and the bottom side surface, and a length dimension of the board extending between the left side surface and the right side surface, 
 a putting hole sized to accommodate a golf ball therethrough, extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located intersectingly with the bottom side surface, 
 a first pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located intersectingly with the bottom side surface on opposite sides of the putting hole, and 
 a second pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the width dimension and located intersectingly with the first pair of alignment holes. 
   
     
     
         17 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the board further has a central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located between a top edge of the putting hole and the top side surface. 
     
     
         18 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the board further has a central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the width dimension and located through a top edge of the putting hole and the top side surface. 
     
     
         19 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the board further has:
 a first central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located between a top edge of the putting hole and the top side surface, and   a second central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the width dimension and located through the top edge of the putting hole and the top side surface.   
     
     
         20 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the golf training aid further comprises a one or more alignment sticks. 
     
     
         21 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the board further has a third pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the width dimension and located on opposite sides of the putting hole, the third pair of alignment stick holes being located closer in proximity to the respective left side surface and right side surface than the respective holes of the first pair of alignment stick holes. 
     
     
         22 . The golf training aid according to  claim 16 , wherein the board further has at least one angle hole extending between the front face and the rear face at an angle that is non-perpendicular to the front face. 
     
     
         23 . A golf training aid comprising:
 a board formed of wood or plastic, a three-dimensional shape of the board being defined in part by a thickness dimension, a width dimension, and a length dimension;   a central alignment stick hole extending through a centerline of the board in the thickness dimension and located between a top side surface and a bottom side surface;   a first pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located intersectingly with the bottom side surface on opposite sides of the central alignment stick hole; and   a second pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the width dimension and located intersectingly with the first pair of alignment holes.   
     
     
         24 . The golf training aid according to  claim 23 , further comprising a swing angle hole extending between a front face and a rear face at an angle that is non-perpendicular to the front face. 
     
     
         25 . The golf training aid according to  claim 24 , wherein the swing angle hole is a swing plane angle ranging from 50-60 degrees with respect to an axis extending in a direction of the front face. 
     
     
         26 . The golf training aid according to  claim 25 , wherein the swing plane angle is 56 degrees. 
     
     
         27 . The golf training aid according to  claim 25 , wherein the swing plane angle is 48 degrees. 
     
     
         28 . The golf training aid according to  claim 24 , wherein the swing angle hole is sized receive an alignment stick therein. 
     
     
         29 . The golf training aid according to  claim 23 , wherein the central alignment stick hole is a first central alignment stick hole, and
 wherein the golf training aid further comprises a second central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the width dimension and located through the top side surface intersectingly with the first central alignment stick hole.   
     
     
         30 . A golf training aid comprising:
 a board having:   a front face,   a rear face facing opposite the front face, a thickness dimension of the board extending from the rear face to the front face,   a top side surface extending between respective upper edges of the front face and the rear face,   a bottom side surface, opposite the top side surface, extending between respective lower edges of the front face and the rear face, a width dimension of the board extending between the top side surface and the bottom side surface,   a left side surface extending between respective first side edges of the front face and the rear face, and between respective first ends of the top side surface and the bottom side surface,   a right side surface, opposite the left side surface, extending between respective second side edges of the front face and the rear face, and between respective second ends of the top side surface and the bottom side surface, and a length dimension of the board extending between the left side surface and the right side surface,   a putting hole, sized to accommodate a golf ball therethrough, extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located intersectingly with the bottom side surface,   a pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the thickness dimension and located intersectingly with the bottom side surface on opposite sides of the putting hole, and   a swing angle hole extending between the front face and the rear face at an angle that is non-perpendicular to the front face, the swing angle hole being located closer to the putting hole than to the left side surface.   
     
     
         31 . The golf training aid according to  claim 30 , wherein the pair of alignment stick holes is a first pair of alignment stick holes, and
 wherein the board further has a second pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the width dimension and located intersectingly with the first pair of alignment holes.   
     
     
         32 . The golf training aid according to  claim 30 , wherein the board further has a third pair of alignment stick holes extending through the board in the width dimension and located on opposite sides of the putting hole, the third pair of alignment stick holes being located closer in proximity to the respective left side surface and right side surface than the respective holes of the first pair of alignment stick holes. 
     
     
         33 . The golf training aid according to  claim 30 , wherein the board further has a central alignment stick hole extending through a centerline of the board in the thickness dimension and located between the top side surface and the bottom side surface. 
     
     
         34 . The golf training aid according to  claim 33 , wherein the central alignment stick hole is a first central alignment stick hole, and
 wherein the board further has a second central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the width dimension and located through the top side surface intersectingly with the first central alignment stick hole.   
     
     
         35 . The golf training aid according to  claim 30 , wherein the board further has a central alignment stick hole extending through the board in the width dimension and located through the top side surface intersectingly with the putting hole.
