Shower curtain hook
Abstract
A shower curtain hook having a shank, a first and a second hook bend fixed to the top and bottom of the shank respectively, a perpendicular protrusion extending horizontally outward from the shank, an interface fixed to the end of the perpendicular protrusion, a lip fixed to the end of the second hook bend, and a tongue fixed to the end of the lip. The first hook bend can have a curve with a uniform outer diameter and can comprise sliding rings and sliding ring stoppers. The interface can comprise external or internal facing threads. The lip can comprise a horizontal tongue that is wider than the width of the tubular rod of the second hook bend. There can be a lesser or greater distance from the inward end of the tongue to the shank than from an inward end of the first hook bend to the shank.

an outward portion;
an inward portion; and
a tubular rod,
wherein the outward portion has a larger radius than the inward portion;
a lip fixed to the end of the second hook bend, wherein the lip is quarter-circle shaped, wherein the lip faces inward, wherein the lip comprises a horizontal tongue, wherein the horizontal tongue is wider than the diameter of the tubular rod of the second hook bend, wherein there is a greater distance from the inward end of the horizontal tongue to the shank than from an inward end of the first hook bend to the shank, and wherein there is a shorter distance from the center of the curve of the second hook bend to the shank than from the center of the curve of the first hook bend to the shank.
2 . The shower curtain hook of claim 1 , wherein the shank further comprises:
a first curve fixed to the first hook bend; and a second curve fixed to the second hook bend, wherein the first curve and the second curve bow inward.
3 . The shower curtain hook of claim 2 , wherein the first curve is unitary with the first hook bend, such that the first curve contributes to the arc of the first hook bend exceeding 180 degrees.
4 . The shower curtain hook of claim 2 , wherein the first curve and the second curve are symmetrical along a horizontal axis.
5 . The shower curtain hook of claim 3 , wherein the first curve and the second curve comprise a tubular rod of uniform diameter.
6 . The shower curtain hook of claim 1 , wherein the one or more sliding ring stoppers comprises a spring-loaded ball plunger.
7 . The shower curtain hook of claim 1 , wherein the tubular rod of the first hook bend and the tubular rod of the second hook bend have a uniform diameter.
8 . The shower curtain hook of claim 1 , wherein the horizontal tongue comprises a divot.
9 . The shower curtain hook of claim 1 , the first hook bend further comprising a ball end fixed to an end of the first hook bend.
10 . The shower curtain hook of claim 8 , wherein the ball end is angled slightly away from the shank.
11 . The shower curtain hook of claim 9 , wherein the ball end is removably coupled to the end of the first hook bend.
12 . A shower curtain hook apparatus comprising:
a straight vertical shank; a first hook bend fixed to the top end of the straight vertical shank, wherein the first hook bend extends inward, wherein the first hook bend is a semi-circle arc with a uniform outer diameter, wherein the first hook bend curves downwards, wherein the first hook bend comprises:
one or more sliding rings;
one or more sliding ring stoppers; and
a tubular rod;
a perpendicular protrusion fixed to the straight vertical shank, wherein the perpendicular protrusion protrudes horizontally outward from the shank; an interface fixed to the end of the perpendicular protrusion, wherein the interface comprises a cavity with internal facing threads; a second hook bend fixed to the bottom end of the shank, wherein the second hook bend extends inward, wherein the first hook bend is a curve with a uniform outer diameter, wherein the first hook bend curves upward, wherein the second hook bend curve comprises a tubular rod; and a lip fixed to the end of the second hook bend, wherein the lip comprises a vertical tubular rod and a flat tongue, wherein the flat tongue has a rectangular profile with rounded edges, wherein the width of the flat tongue is greater than the diameter of the tubular rod of the second hook bend, wherein there is a shorter distance from the inward end of the flat tongue to the shank than from an inward end of the first hook bend to the shank, and wherein there is a shorter distance from the center of the curve of the second hook bend to the shank than from the center of the curve of the first hook bend to the shank.
13 . The shower curtain hook apparatus of claim 12 , wherein the flat tongue is horizontal.
