Abstract
A support apparatus for displaying a wrist watch face upon a surface that is oriented to be easily viewed by an individual, the support apparatus includes a base section, a flexible cantilever arm, and a flexible extension element all together that form a flexible, sheet music base clef symbol type shape, wherein the support apparatus is disposed within the inside of the watch band and faces the watch case back, thus operationally giving the flexible watch band upward support on the surface to hold the watch face at an obtuse angle in relation to the surface for convenient viewing by the individual.

A support apparatus for displaying a watch face bezel and crystal of a wrist watch, wherein the watch face bezel and crystal have an opposing watch case back, further the wrist watch has a band of links for removably engaging a user's wrist, wherein the band of links has an open state being removable from the user's wrist and a closed state being secured to the user's wrist, wherein said support apparatus extends from resting on a desktop surface of a desk or a surface, or a shelf, wherein the wrist watch face is displayed at a first acute angle relative to the desktop surface to facilitate a user viewing the watch face at an obtuse angle near an optimal line-of-sight perspective from the user positioned at the desk or the user positioned adjacent to the shelf, said support apparatus comprising:
(a) a substantially planar base section that has a substantially planar base section lengthwise axis, said substantially planar base section is substantially parallel in operation to the surface of the desktop or shelf, said planar base section having a first end portion and an opposing second end portion with said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis spanning therebetween, said substantially planar base section having a substantially planar base section inner surface portion and an opposing substantially planar base section outer surface portion with a substantially planar base section short-wise axis positioned perpendicular to said lengthwise axis; (b) a flexible cantilever arm having a flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and an opposing flexible cantilever arm distal end portion with an arm axis spanning therebetween, said flexible cantilever arm having a flexible cantilever arm inner surface portion and an opposing flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion with a flexible cantilever arm perpendicular axis positioned perpendicular to said arm axis, wherein said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion is flexibly affixed to said planar base first end portion at a second acute angle defined by said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis and said arm axis at a first intersection point, with said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion terminating into a first free moving flexible cantilever arm cantilever end being suspended over a portion of said substantially planar base first end portion inner surface portion in a first plane, and; (c) a flexible extension element having a flexible extension element proximal end portion and an opposing flexible extension element distal end portion with a flexible extension element axis spanning therebetween, said flexible extension element having a flexible extension element inner surface portion and an opposing flexible extension element outer surface portion with a flexible extension element radial-wise axis spanning therebetween, said flexible extension element proximal end portion is flexibly affixed at an interface to said planar base section second end portion, wherein said flexible extension element forms a dual radii arc that is suspended over a portion of said planar base second end portion inner surface portion in said first plane, wherein said flexible cantilever arm and said flexible extension element are positioned on a same side of said planar base portion, said flexible extension element arc is formed by a primary radius having a primary radius length and a smaller secondary radius having a smaller secondary radius length, wherein said primary and secondary radii have respective offset origins defined as a primary origin and a secondary origin, said primary origin is positioned at said primary radius length to be tangent at a primary tangent point disposed at said interface between said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element with said planar base section second end portion, with said primary origin being within said first plane and substantially perpendicular to said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis and said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, said primary radius swings a primary arc within said first plane from said primary tangent point for approximately one-hundred thirty-five degrees moving away from said substantially planar base section terminating in a second tangent point, said secondary origin is positioned at said secondary radius length to be tangent at said secondary tangent point with said secondary origin extending inward in a substantially perpendicular manner to said primary arc at said secondary tangent point terminating at said secondary radius length, said secondary radius swings a secondary arc within said first plane from said secondary tangent point for approximately one-hundred eighty degrees moving away from and then toward said substantially planar base section to form said dual radii arc, wherein said flexible extension element distal end portion terminates into a second free moving flexible cantilever arm cantilever end being suspended over a portion of said substantially planar base second end portion inner surface portion in said first plane, wherein operationally a portion of the watch case back is placed adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion, that results in the watch face resting at said first acute angle in relation to the surface of the desk or shelf, further the watch band with links being in the closed state is placed about said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element via manually compressing said flexible cantilever arm and said flexible extension element resulting in the watch band with links being stretched over said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element being in contact with said outer surface of both said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element, wherein said substantially planar base section is placed upon the surface of the desktop or the shelf with the watch band with links being disposed between said substantially planar base section outer surface and the surface of the desktop or the shelf, resulting in the wrist watch face being displayed at an obtuse angle relative to the surface of the desktop or the shelf to facilitate a user viewing the watch face at the near optimal line-of-sight perspective from the user positioned at the desk or the user positioned adjacent to the shelf.

A support apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion further comprises a first finger rest section that includes a first leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said first leg provides a finger support to make it easier to manually reduce said second acute angle to make it easier to position the portion of the watch case back to be adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion.

A support apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said flexible extension element distal end portion further comprises a second finger rest section that includes a second leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said second leg provides a finger support to make it easier to manually move both said primary and secondary origins toward said substantially planar base section inner surface portion to make it easier to position the watch band to be adjacent to said flexible extension element outer surface portion.

A support apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion further comprises a first finger rest section that includes a first leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, further said flexible extension element distal end portion further comprises a second finger rest section that includes a second leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said first and second legs provide a two finger pinch support mechanism wherein said first and second legs are manually brought towards one another to firstly reduce said second acute angle and secondly to manually move both said primary and secondary origins toward said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, resulting in making it easier to position the portion of the watch case back to be adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion and to make it easier to position the watch band to be adjacent to said flexible extension element outer surface portion.

A support apparatus for displaying a watch face bezel and crystal of a wrist watch, wherein the watch face bezel and crystal have an opposing watch case back, further the wrist watch has a soft flexible watch band of textile, leather, silicone, or plastic for removably engaging a user's wrist, wherein the soft flexible band has an open state being removable from the user's wrist and a closed state being secured to the user's wrist, wherein said support apparatus extends from resting on a desktop surface of a desk or a surface of a shelf, wherein the wrist watch face is displayed at a first acute angle relative to the desktop surface to facilitate a user viewing the watch face at an obtuse angle near an optimal line-of-sight perspective from the user positioned at the desk or the user positioned adjacent to the shelf, said support apparatus comprising:
(a) a substantially planar base section that has a substantially planar base section lengthwise axis, said substantially planar base section is substantially parallel in operation to the surface of the desktop or shelf, said planar base section having a first end portion and an opposing second end portion with said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis spanning therebetween, said substantially planar base section having a substantially planar base section inner surface portion and an opposing substantially planar base section outer surface portion with a substantially planar base section short-wise axis positioned perpendicular to said lengthwise axis; (b) a flexible cantilever arm having a flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and an opposing flexible cantilever arm distal end portion with an arm axis spanning therebetween, said flexible cantilever arm having a flexible cantilever arm inner surface portion and an opposing flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion with a flexible cantilever arm perpendicular axis positioned perpendicular to said arm axis, wherein said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion is flexibly affixed to said planar base first end portion at a second acute angle defined by said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis and said arm axis at a first intersection point, with said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion terminating into a first free moving flexible cantilever arm cantilever end being suspended over a portion of said substantially planar base first end portion inner surface portion in a first plane, and; (c) a flexible extension element having a flexible extension element proximal end portion and an opposing flexible extension element distal end portion with a flexible extension element axis spanning therebetween, said flexible extension element having a flexible extension element inner surface portion and an opposing flexible extension element outer surface portion with a flexible extension element radial-wise axis spanning therebetween, said flexible extension element proximal end portion is flexibly affixed at an interface to said planar base section second end portion, wherein said flexible extension element forms a dual radii arc that is suspended over a portion of said planar base second end portion inner surface portion in said first plane, wherein said flexible cantilever arm and said flexible extension element are positioned on a same side of said planar base portion, said flexible extension element arc is formed by a primary radius having a primary radius length and a smaller secondary radius having a smaller secondary radius length, wherein said primary and secondary radii have respective offset origins defined as a primary origin and a secondary origin, said primary origin is positioned at said primary radius length to be tangent at a primary tangent point disposed at said interface between said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element with said planar base section second end portion, with said primary origin being within said first plane and substantially perpendicular to said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis and said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, said primary radius swings a primary arc within said first plane from said primary tangent point for approximately one-hundred thirty-five degrees moving away from said substantially planar base section terminating in a second tangent point, said secondary origin is positioned at said secondary radius length to be tangent at said secondary tangent point with said secondary origin extending inward in a substantially perpendicular manner to said primary arc at said secondary tangent point terminating at said secondary radius length, said secondary radius swings a secondary arc within said first plane from said secondary tangent point for approximately one-hundred eighty degrees moving away from and then toward said substantially planar base section to form said dual radii arc, wherein said flexible extension element distal end portion terminates into a second free moving flexible cantilever arm cantilever end being suspended over a portion of said substantially planar base second end portion inner surface portion in said first plane; and (d) a stabilizing clip that includes:
(d) (i) a foot portion having a foot portion proximal end portion and an opposing foot portion distal end portion with a stabilizing clip long axis disposed therebetween, wherein a foot portion length along said stabilizing clip long axis is defined as being between said foot portion proximal end portion and said foot portion distal end portion;
(d) (ii) a stabilizing flexible arc portion having a primary end portion and an opposing secondary end portion, wherein the stabilizing flexible arc primary end portion is affixed to the foot portion proximal end portion, the stabilizing flexible arc portion is formed by a clip radius having a clip radius length of less than the foot portion length, the stabilizing flexible arc portion starts at the foot portion proximal end portion and swings a flexible arc portion arc radius for approximately one-hundred eighty degrees away from the foot portion terminating in a stabilizing flexible arc junction; and
(d) (iii) a retention shoulder section having a retention shoulder section proximal end portion and an opposing retention shoulder section distal end portion with a retention shoulder length defined as between said retention shoulder section proximal and distal end portions, said retention shoulder section proximal end portion is affixed to said stabilizing flexible arc junction, wherein said retention shoulder length extends to be suspended over approximately at least a mid-point of said foot portion length at a suspension distance of approximately less than two times said clip radius length, wherein operationally a portion of the watch case back is placed adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion, that results in the watch face resting at said first acute angle in relation to the surface of the desk or shelf, further the soft flexible watch band being in the closed state is placed about said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element via manually compressing said flexible cantilever arm and said flexible extension element resulting in the soft flexible watch band being stretched over said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element being in contact with said outer surfaces of both said substantially planar base section and said flexible extension element, further said stabilizing clip is manually spread apart between said foot portion and said retention shoulder section distal end portion to be disposed about said planar base section inner surface portion and the soft flexible watch band with a stabilizing clip sliding movement to approximately center said foot portion length in relation to said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis, wherein said substantially planar base section lengthwise axis and said stabilizing clip long axis are substantially perpendicular to one another, wherein said stabilizing clip foot portion rests against the surface of the desktop or the shelf in conjunction with a portion of said substantially planar base section with the soft flexible watch band being disposed between said substantially planar base section outer surface and the surface of the desktop or the shelf to add stability to said support apparatus from a lack of support due to the soft flexible watch band on the surface of the desktop or the shelf, resulting in the wrist watch face being displayed at an obtuse angle relative to the surface of the desktop or the shelf to facilitate a user viewing the watch face at the near optimal line-of-sight perspective from the user positioned at the desk or the user positioned adjacent to the shelf.

A support apparatus according to claim 5 wherein said stabilizing clip retention shoulder section distal end portion further comprises a shovel ski tip that provides a reduced friction guide via having a shovel radius with a substantially flat tip with radii corners on said flat tip, wherein to operationally provide an easier said stabilizing clip sliding movement over said planar base section inner surface portion.

A support apparatus according to claim 5 wherein said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion further comprises a first finger rest section that includes a first leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said first leg provides a finger support to make it easier to manually reduce said first acute angle to make it easier to position the portion of the watch case back to be adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion.

A support apparatus according to claim 5 wherein said flexible extension element distal end portion further comprises a second finger rest section that includes a second leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said second leg provides a finger support to make it easier to manually move both said primary and secondary origins toward said substantially planar base section inner surface portion to make it easier to position the watch band to be adjacent to said flexible extension element outer surface portion.

A support apparatus according to claim 5 wherein said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion further comprises a first finger rest section that includes a first leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, further said flexible extension element distal end portion further comprises a second finger rest section that includes a second leg that partially extends towards said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, wherein operationally said first and second legs provide a two finger pinch support mechanism wherein said first and second legs are manually brought towards one another to firstly reduce said first acute angle and secondly to manually move both said primary and secondary origins toward said substantially planar base section inner surface portion, resulting in making it easier to position the portion of the watch case back to be adjacent to said flexible cantilever arm between said flexible cantilever arm proximal end portion and said flexible cantilever arm distal end portion on said flexible cantilever arm outer surface portion and to make it easier to position the watch band to be adjacent to said flexible extension element outer surface portion.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
