Cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus

Abstract

A cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus that is configured to provide extraction of tobacco from within a cigarette wrapper and further facilitate packing of an alternate smoking material into the wrapper while inhibiting compromise to the integrity of the wrapper. The present invention includes a retention tube member that is configured to receive a cigarette therein. A tobacco extraction member is provided and is operable to remove the tobacco disposed within the cigarette wrapper. An insertion tube member is placed within the interior volume of the empty cigarette wrapper so as to provide protection thereof. A plunger member is provided and employed to provide packing of an alternate smoking material in the interior volume of the cigarette wrapper. The insertion tube member includes a lifting member secured to the perimeter edge thereof. The retention tube member further includes holding apertures providing access to grasp the filter of a cigarette.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material wherein the cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus comprises:
 a retention tube member, said retention tube member being cylindrical in shape, said retention tube member having a first end and a second end, said retention tube member having an outer wall and a hollow interior volume, said retention tube member having an opening proximate said first end providing access to the interior volume;   an insertion tube member, said insertion tube member being cylindrical in shape having a hollow passage intermediate a first end and a second end, said insertion tube member having a first opening proximate said first end of said insertion tube member, said insertion tube member having a second opening proximate said second end of said insertion tube member;   a tobacco extraction member, said tobacco extraction member having a lower portion, said lower portion of said tobacco extraction member having a handle coupled thereto, said lower portion having a diameter configured to be inserted into an interior volume of a cigarette wrapper; and   a plunger member, said plunger member including a rod and a base member, said base member being secured to a second end of said rod, said base member being perpendicular to said rod, said base member having a diameter suitable to be inserted into the interior volume of a cigarette wrapper.

The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 1 , wherein said retention tube member further includes a first holding aperture and a second holding aperture, said first holding aperture and said second holding aperture being formed in said outer wall of the retention tube member, said first holding aperture and said second holding aperture being proximate said second end of said retention tube member.

The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 2 , and further including a lifting member, said lifting member being secured to a perimeter edge of the insertion tube member proximate the first end of the insertion tube member, said lifting member operable to facilitate removal of the insertion tube member from the interior volume of the cigarette wrapper. 
     
     
         4 . The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 3 , wherein said lower portion of said tobacco extraction member is auger shaped. 
     
     
         5 . The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 4 , wherein said base member of said plunger member is annular in shape. 
     
     
         6 . The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 5 , wherein said first holding aperture and said second holding aperture are diametrically opposed on said outer wall of said retention tube member. 
     
     
         7 . The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 6 , wherein said first holding aperture and said second holding aperture are oval in shape. 
     
     
         8 . The cigarette tobacco extraction and packing apparatus configured to provide removal of tobacco from a cigarette and repack with an alternate smoking material as recited in  claim 7 , wherein the insertion tube member has a diameter configured to facilitate an ability to be journaled into the interior volume of the cigarette wrapper.
