Abstract
This disclosure relates generally to a target system. The target system may include a locking plate having a first aperture and a second aperture. In one embodiment, the first aperture may be wider than the second aperture. The target system further includes a target face. The target face may be implemented with a target stem, a locking support, and a locking retainer. In one embodiment, the locking retainer may be wider than the second aperture. Similarly, a target is disclosed which includes a locking plate. The locking plate includes a pass-through portion and a locking portion. In certain embodiments, the locking portion may be wider than the pass-through portion. The target system further includes a target face. The target face may be implemented with an elongated portion, a locking support portion, and a locking retainer portion. In one embodiment, the locking retainer portion is wider than the locking portion.

21 . A target system, comprising:
a locking plate having a first aperture and a second aperture, where the first aperture is wider than the second aperture; and a target face including a locking retainer, wherein the locking retainer is wider than the first aperture.
22 . The target system of claim 21 , the target face further including a locking support.
23 . The target system of claim 22 , wherein the locking support is disposed inside the first aperture when the locking retainer is disposed on the locking plate.
24 . The target system of claim 22 , wherein the locking plate has a thickness that is approximately the same as the locking support.
25 . The target system of claim 21 , the target face further including a target stem.
26 . The target system of claim 25 , wherein the target stem is disposed under the first aperture when the locking retainer is disposed on the locking plate.
27 . The target system of claim 25 , wherein the width of the target stem and the width of the second aperture are approximately the same width.
28 . The target system of claim 21 , the target face further including a target.
29 . The target system of claim 21 , wherein the locking plate further includes a third aperture.
30 . The target system of claim 21 , wherein the locking plate includes an opening to the second aperture through an exterior edge of the locking plate.

32 . The target system of claim 21 , wherein the locking plate includes an opening to the first aperture through an exterior edge of the locking plate, the opening and the second aperture having the same width.
33 . The target system of claim 21 , wherein the second aperture is defined by a first tab and a second tab in the locking plate.
34 . The target system of claim 33 , wherein the first tab and the second tab in the locking plate are disposed on opposing sides of the second aperture.
35 . The target system of claim of claim 33 , wherein the first tab and the second tab support a locking support of the target face when the target face is struck by a projectile.
36 . The target system of claim 33 , wherein the first tab and the second tab in the locking plate prevent the target face from swinging when the target face is struck by a projectile.
37 . The target system of claim 21 , wherein the target is disposed at a bottom of the target face.
