Abstract
An underground stormwater storage system. The underground stormwater storage system may comprise a porous backfill, a plurality of solid pipes disposed within the porous backfill, wherein the solid pipes are disposed with a gap between each of the plurality of solid pipes, and an inlet pipe disposed in at least one of the plurality of solid pipes.

1 . An underground stormwater storage system, comprising:
a porous backfill; a plurality of solid pipes disposed within the porous backfill, wherein the solid pipes are disposed with a gap between each of the plurality of solid pipes; and an inlet pipe disposed in at least one of the plurality of solid pipes.
2 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein the gap is covered at least in part by a band.
3 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein the gap is covered at least in part by a fabric.
4 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of solid pipes are at least in part oriented in line to one another.
5 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein the gap is between 0.5 inch and 1 inch.
6 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein a connecting joint is disposed between at least one of the plurality of solid pipes.
7 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 6 , wherein the connecting joint is covered at least in part by a band.
8 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 6 , wherein the connecting joint is covered at least in part by a fabric.
9 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 6 , wherein the connecting joint comprises one or more orifices disposed within the connecting joint.
10 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the plurality of solid pipes comprises a bulkhead.
11 . The underground stormwater storage system of claim 10 , wherein the bulkhead comprises one or more orifices.
12 . A method, comprising:
disposing a plurality of solid pipes into an underground area; positioning one or more of the plurality of solid pipes with a gap between the one or more of the plurality of solid pipes; and disposing a porous backfill into the underground area and around the plurality of solid pipes.
13 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising covering the gap at least in part by a band.
14 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising the gap at least in part by a fabric.
15 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the gap is between 0.5 inch and 1 inch.
16 . The method of claim 12 , further comprising disposing a connecting joint between at least one of the plurality of solid pipes.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising covering the connecting joint at least in part by a band.
18 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising covering the connecting joint at least in part by a fabric.
19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the connecting joint comprises one or more orifices disposed within the connecting joint.
