Sheet piling driver adapters and methods for using same

Abstract

Disclosed herein are systems and methods for sheet piling driver adapters. In a specific embodiment, a sheet piling driver adapter includes: a body, where the body includes: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes; and one or more finger bars, where the finger bars include: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes, and where the sheet piling driver adapter is configured to be releasably attached to a post pile driver and a sheet pile so the post driver can drive a sheet pile into the ground.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A sheet piling driver adapter comprising:
 a body, wherein the body comprises: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes; and   one or more finger bars, wherein the finger bars comprise: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes, and wherein the sheet piling driver adapter is configured to be releasably attached to a post driver and a sheet pile so the post driver can drive a sheet pile into the ground.   
     
     
         2 . The sheet piling driver adapter of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more holes comprises at least four threaded and countersunk holes. 
     
     
         3 . The sheet piling driver adapter of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more holes comprises at least twelve holes. 
     
     
         4 . The sheet piling driver adapter of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more finger bars comprises two finger bars. 
     
     
         5 . The sheet piling driver adapter of  claim 1  further comprising a second adapter, wherein the second adapter comprises: a cuboid rectangular shape. 
     
     
         6 . A method for driving a sheet pile into ground with a post pile driver:
 releasably attaching a sheet piling driver adapter to a sheet pile, wherein the sheet piling driver adapter comprises:
 a body, wherein the body comprises: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes; and 
 one or more finger bars, wherein the finger bars comprise: a cuboid rectangular shape and one or more holes, and wherein the sheet piling driver adapter is configured to be releasably attached to a post driver and a sheet pile so the post driver can drive a sheet pile into the ground; and 
 engaging a post driver to drive the sheet pile into the ground. 
   
     
     
         7 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the one or more holes comprises at least four threaded and countersunk holes. 
     
     
         8 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the one or more holes comprises at least fourteen. 
     
     
         9 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the one or more finger bars comprises two finger bars. 
     
     
         10 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the sheet piling driver adapter further comprises a second adapter, wherein the second adapter comprises: a cuboid rectangular shape. 
     
     
         11 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the sheet pile comprises polyvinychloride sheet piling or metal sheet piling. 
     
     
         12 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 6 , wherein the sheet piling driver adapter is configured to be releasably attached to a post driver and a sheet pile so the post pile driver can drive a sheet pile into the ground. 
     
     
         13 . The method of repairing a pile of  claim 12 , wherein the sheet piling driver adapter engages a housing chamber of a post driver.
