Abstract

Invisible ink reveal objects and methods of making and using same are described. In some embodiments, the objects are three-dimensional objects (e.g., animals, figurines or toy models) that are assembled by the user from a variety of pieces. The pieces may be comprised of multiple layers, such as a base layer, a film that includes one or more designs covering the base layer and an invisible ink-reactive ink application that hides the one or more designs when the coating is dry and reveals the one or more designs when the user brushes invisible ink reveal formula on the invisible ink reactive ink application. The coating and film may be on one or multiple sides of the pieces. The pieces may be provided to the user in a sheet that is partially precut to facilitate removal of the pieces. In other embodiments, the present disclosure provides a sheet or roll of stickers.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . An invisible ink reveal kit comprising:
 a sheet comprising:
 a sheet top;
 a sheet bottom;
 a sheet thickness extending from the sheet top to the sheet bottom;
 a base layer comprising a base layer top, a base layer bottom and a base layer thickness extending from the base layer top to the base layer bottom;
 a film covering at least one of the base layer top or the base layer bottom, the film comprising one or more designs; and
 an invisible ink-reactive ink application determining the one or more designs, wherein the invisible ink-reactive ink application is configured to hide the one or more designs when the invisible ink-reactive ink application is dry, and further wherein the invisible ink-reactive ink application is configured to reveal the one or more designs if the invisible ink-reactive ink application comes into contact with invisible ink reveal formula.

         2 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the sheet comprises a plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces that are connected.

         3 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 2 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces comprises pieces that are configured to pop out of the sheet without tearing.

         4 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 2 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces were created by laser or die cutting through a portion of the thickness of the sheet.

         5 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 2 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces are configured to connect to form a three dimensional object.

         6 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 2 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces are shapes that are configured to interlock via mating features on the removable pieces to form a three dimensional object.

         7 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 6 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces are shapes that are configured to interlock via slots on the removable pieces to form a three dimensional shape.

         8 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 2 wherein the plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces are rigid.

         9 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the sheet further comprises an adhesive attaching the film to the base layer.

         10 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the base layer is comprised of cardboard, wood, fibreboard, paperboard, mat board, plastic or metal.

         11 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the film comprises a top film covering the base layer top and a bottom film covering the base layer bottom, wherein each of the top film and bottom film comprise one or more designs, and further wherein the invisible ink-reactive ink application comprises a top coating covering the top film and a bottom coating covering the bottom film.

         12 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the film is a paper film.

         13 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the one or more designs are printed on the film.

         14 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the one or more designs are screen printed on the film.

         15 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the one or more designs are applied to the film using an invisible ink colored ink or paint.

         16 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the invisible ink-reactive ink application comprises an invisible ink formula.

         17 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the kit further comprises an applicator comprising a reservoir configured to hold invisible ink reveal formula and an applicator head in fluid communication with the reservoir.

         18 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 17 wherein the applicator further comprises a valve configured to regulate the flow of invisible ink reveal formula from the reservoir to the bristles.

         19 . The invisible ink reveal kit of claim 1 wherein the ink-reactive ink application is permanent.

         20 . A method of using an invisible ink reveal kit comprising the steps of: a) providing the sheet of claim 1 ; and b) applying invisible ink reveal formula to the invisible ink-reactive ink to reveal the one or more designs.

         21 . A method of using an invisible ink reveal kit comprising the steps of: a) providing the sheet of claim 19 ; and b) applying invisible ink reveal formula to the invisible ink-reactive ink application to reveal the one or more designs by changing the color of the invisible ink-reactive ink application from clear to color.

         22 . The method of claim 20 wherein the sheet comprises a plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces and further wherein the method further comprises, before or after step b), removing the removable invisible ink reveal pieces from the sheet and re-connecting the pieces.

         23 . The method of claim 20 wherein the sheet comprises a plurality of removable invisible ink reveal pieces and further wherein the method further comprises, before or after step, b) removing the removable invisible ink reveal pieces from the sheet without using any tools and re-connecting the pieces to assemble an animal, figurine, shape, toy model, or other three-dimensional object.
