Abstract

A portable leg rest device is disclosed for elevating the legs while sitting or lying down. The portable leg rest device comprises a body component that is configured as a frame with height-adjustable legs in a scissor-lift configuration that allow a user to change the height of the pillow attachment secured to the top pad. The pillow attachment can be stored inside the device until applied to the top pad. The top end of the device terminates in a rectangular pad to support the legs. During use, the device keeps the legs of a user above their heart while napping or relaxing to improve blood flow.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A portable leg rest device that elevates a user's legs while lying down, the portable leg rest device comprising:
a body component; and a plurality of legs; wherein the body component comprises a top pad and a bottom pad suspended apart in a horizontal configuration by the plurality of legs; wherein the plurality of legs are height-adjustable and are approximately two feet in height fully extended, and able to be height adjustable down, as needed; wherein the plurality of legs are positioned in a scissor-lift configuration between the top pad and the bottom pad; and further wherein once the plurality of legs are extended up, a user's legs are positioned on the top pad, which keeps the user's legs above their heart while lying down to improve blood flow.

2 . The portable leg rest device of claim 1 , wherein the top pad comprises a foam pillow attachment which can be removed and stored within the body component as needed.

3 . The portable leg rest device of claim 2 , wherein the top pad comprises a pillowcase component for securing the foam pillow attachment.

4 . The portable leg rest device of claim 3 , wherein the plurality of legs are arranged in the scissor-lift configuration and secured together at a pivot point with a pin and a spring lock with a push button release.

5 . The portable leg rest device of claim 4 , wherein the body component comprises a hammock attachment which can be stored inside the bottom pad.

6 . The portable leg rest device of claim 5 , wherein the hammock attachment is a mesh structure that is secured to either end of the top pad via a hook and loop means and hangs unsupported in a middle of the top pad to support a user's legs during use.

7 . The portable leg rest device of claim 6 , wherein the body component comprises a carrying handle for easy transportation.

8 . The portable leg rest device of claim 7 , wherein the carrying handle comprises an ergonomic grip, texture, or coating.

9 . The portable leg rest device of claim 8 , wherein the body component can be constructed of an aluminum, a polyethylene, or a polycarbonate material.

10 . The portable leg rest device of claim 9 further comprising a plurality of indicia.

11 . The portable leg rest device of claim 10 , wherein the body component comprises a motor, a controller, and internal battery which communicate to raise or lower the plurality of legs at a push of a power button.

12 . A portable leg rest device that elevates a user's legs while lying down, the portable leg rest device comprising:
a body component; a plurality of legs; and a foam pillow attachment; wherein the body component comprises a top pad and a bottom pad suspended apart in a horizontal configuration by the plurality of legs; wherein the plurality of legs are height-adjustable and are approximately two feet in height fully extended, and able to be height adjustable down, as needed; wherein the plurality of legs pivot to collapse down and compact the top pad and the bottom pad together, as needed for storage; wherein the plurality of legs are arranged in a scissor-lift configuration and secured together at a pivot point with a pin; wherein the body component comprises a motor, a controller, and internal battery which communicate to raise or lower the plurality of legs at a push of a power button; wherein with a simple push of the power button, a user can adjust a height of the plurality of legs to ensure a personal and custom fit; wherein the foam pillow attachment is secured to the top pad to support a user's legs during use and stored inside the bottom pad when not in use; and further wherein once the plurality of legs are extended up, a user's legs are positioned on the top pad, which keeps the user's legs above their heart while lying down to improve blood flow.

13 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 , wherein the body component comprises a carrying handle for easy transportation.

14 . The portable leg rest device of claim 13 , wherein the carrying handle comprises an ergonomic grip, texture, or coating.

15 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 , wherein the body component can be constructed of an aluminum, a polyethylene, or a polycarbonate material.

16 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 further comprising a plurality of indicia.

17 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 wherein the top pad comprises a pillowcase component for securing the foam pillow attachment.

18 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 , wherein the body component comprises a hammock attachment which can be stored inside the bottom pad.

19 . The portable leg rest device of claim 12 , wherein the hammock attachment is a mesh structure that is secured to either end of the top pad via a hook and loop means and hangs unsupported in a middle of the top pad to support a user's legs during use.

20 . A method of elevating a user's legs while napping, the method comprising the following steps:
providing a portable leg rest device comprising a body component with height-adjustable legs; adjusting the height of the legs to the desired height; securing the hammock to the top pad; resting a user's feet on the hammock; and collapsing the legs for storage and transporting the device with the carrying handle.
