Abstract

A mopping device, including a support body and a mopping cloth detachably connected to the support body. The support body includes two clamping plates. The two clamping plates each have a clamping edge and are arranged relative to one another so as to fasten the mopping cloth between the clamping edges when in a closed position and are configured to move into an open position for inserting or removing the mopping cloth into or from the support body. At least one of the clamping plates is configured as a pressing plate for pressing the mopping cloth against a surface that is to be cleaned. The clamping plates delimit a cavity in which a mopping cloth dispenser including further mopping cloths is arranged.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A mopping device, comprising:
a support body; and a mopping cloth, detachably connected to the support body, wherein the support body comprises two clamping plates, wherein the two clamping plates each have a clamping edge and are arranged relative to one another so as to fasten the mopping cloth between the clamping edges when in a closed position and are configured to move into an open position for inserting or removing the mopping cloth into or from the support body, wherein at least one of the clamping plates is configured as a pressing plate ( to press the mopping cloth against a surface that is to be cleaned, and wherein the clamping plates delimit a cavity in which a mopping cloth dispenser comprising further mopping cloths is arranged.

2 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the clamping plates are arranged in a wedge-shaped configuration and wherein the support body, on a side facing away from the clamping edges, is delimited by a back side which joins the clamping plates.

3 . The mopping device according to claim 2 , wherein at least one of the clamping plates and/or the back side comprise attachment means configured to receive a free end of the mopping cloth facing away from the clamping edges.

4 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the mopping cloth dispenser is formed by a mopping cloth roll, from which mopping cloths are configured to be dispensed.

5 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the mopping cloth dispenser is formed by a folded package including the mopping cloths.

6 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the mopping cloths in the mopping cloth dispenser are contiguously joined to each other.

7 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein tearing aids are arranged between adjacent mopping cloths.

8 . The mopping device according to claim 7 , wherein the tearing aids are formed by a perforation.

9 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the clamping edges are provided, at least in part, with surface profiles on their sides facing the mopping cloth and wherein the surface profiles contact the mopping cloth in a frictional and/or interlocking adjacent manner.

10 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the support body and the mopping cloth are connected to each other only by an edge of the mopping cloth clamped between the clamping edges.

11 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein both clamping plates are formed as pressing plates.

12 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the mopping cloth includes two functional surfaces.

13 . The mopping device according to claim 12 , wherein the functional surfaces are structured to be the same.

14 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the support body and a mop handle are connected by a joint.

15 . The mopping device according to claim 14 , wherein the mop handle and the joint are centrally arranged on the support body as viewed in a longitudinal directionof the support body.

16 . The mopping device according to claim 14 , wherein the support body is pivotable from a vertical position with respect to the mop handle by a pivoting angle, which is at least 180°.

17 . The mopping device according to claim 1 , wherein the clamping plates of the support body comprise a polymeric material.

18 . The mopping device according to claim 12 , wherein the functional surfaces are structured to be different.
