Multi-Chamber Adjustable Pillow
Abstract
An adjustable and inflatable pillow is provided. The multi-chamber adjustable pillow includes a body having a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber encloses the second chamber and can receive air through a first valve to inflate the first chamber. The second chamber is able to receive air through a second valve, which passes through the first chamber. The firmness of the pillow can be adjusted by changing the amount of air disposed within the second chamber. The second chamber is positioned centrally within the body, while the first chamber encompasses the entire perimeter of the body. This allows the user to easily adjust the firmness of the pillow to their desired level of comfort. The pillow can be completely deflated for compact transport.

1 . A multi-chamber adjustable pillow, comprising:
a body having a first chamber and a second chamber, wherein the first chamber encloses the second chamber; a first valve fluidly connected between an exterior of the body and the first chamber, wherein the first valve is configured to receive gas or fluid fill the first chamber; a second valve fluidly connected between an exterior of the body and the second chamber, wherein the second valve is configured to receive gas or fluid fill the second chamber; wherein the second valve passes through the first chamber; wherein the body is deformable and wherein the deformation of the body is adapted to be adjusted by changing an amount of gas or fluid disposed within the second chamber; wherein the second chamber is disposed centrally within the body and the first chamber forms an entire perimeter of the body.
2 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the first and second chambers are configured to be manually filled with fluid or gas.
3 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , further comprising a pump disposed within the body adapted to automatically fill the first and second chamber with gas.
4 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 3 , wherein the pump is operably connected to a power source.
5 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 4 , wherein the power source is a battery disposed within a recess of the body.
6 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 3 , wherein a wire extends from the pump and is configured to connect the pump to an external power source.
7 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , further comprising a channeled member extending from an internal sidewall of the body, securing the second chamber within the center of the body.
8 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , further comprising a sleeve adapted to protect the body from puncturing.
9 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the body is configured to be void of gas or fluid therein for compact configuration thereof.
10 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 9 , wherein the body is configured to fold or roll when void of gas or fluid.
11 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the second chamber comprises a larger interior volume of the body than the first chamber.
12 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the second chamber comprises a smaller interior volume of the body than the first chamber.
13 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein a sidewall disposed between the first chamber and the second chamber is nonpermeable and prevents air from passing between the first chamber and the second chamber.
14 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the first chamber comprises an entirely uniform width when filled with air.
15 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , wherein the second chamber comprises an entirely uniform width when filled with air.
16 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 7 , wherein the channeled member extends from the second valve to the second chamber and allows air to pass from the second valve to the second chamber.
17 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 1 , further comprising a control operably connected to a pump disposed within the second chamber that allows a user to select a predetermined firmness level.
18 . The multi-chamber adjustable pillow of claim 17 , wherein the predetermined firmness level comprises a low firm control, a medium firm control, and a high firm control.
