Abstract

An adjustable pillow has: a lower member, an upper member, and a lifting mechanism; the lower member having a neck supporting section at one end and an assembly space adjacent to the neck supporting section, the upper member having an assembly protrusion and a head supporting section extending from the assembly protrusion; wherein the assembly protrusion is capable of being correspondingly disposed in the assembly space such that the head supporting section is lower than the neck supporting section, and the assembly protrusion further comprises an accepting space at a bottom side for accepting the lifting mechanism for mounting between the lower member and the upper member.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An adjustable pillow comprising: a lower member, an upper member, and a lifting mechanism; the lower member having a neck supporting section at one end and an assembly space adjacent to the neck supporting section, the upper member having an assembly protrusion and a head supporting section extending from the assembly protrusion; wherein the assembly protrusion is capable of being correspondingly disposed in the assembly space such that the head supporting section is lower than the neck supporting section, and the assembly protrusion further comprises an accepting space at a bottom side for accepting the lifting mechanism for mounting between the lower member and the upper member. 
     
     
         2 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein one end of the lower member is attached to the neck supporting section, and the neck supporting section has a concave surface at a central region. 
     
     
         3 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the assembly space and the assembly protrusion have corresponding concave-convex structures. 
     
     
         4 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 3 , wherein two opposite inner sidewalls of the assembly space have a plurality of vertical engaging grooves, and another two inner sidewalls have at least one positioning rib and two positioning grooves on each side of the positioning rib; one side of the positioning rib is connected to a reinforcing column; two opposite outer sidewalls of the assembly protrusion have a plurality of engaging ribs corresponding to the engaging grooves, and another two outer sidewalls have at least one positioning notch and two positioning nodes on each side of the positioning notch, the positioning notch configured for engaging with the positioning rib, and the positioning node is configured for engaging with the positioning groove. 
     
     
         5 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the head supporting section of the upper member is a concave curved plate, and the head supporting section further has a padding member on a surface thereof. 
     
     
         6 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 1 , wherein the lifting mechanism has a lower base, a top base and two X-shaped support frames, two opposite sidewalls of the lower base have two parallel lower guiding slots, two opposite sidewalls of the top base have two parallel upper guiding slots, the two X-shaped support frames are connected via a center link rod, two lower link rods, and the two upper link rods, two ends of one of lower link rods are respectively secured onto one end of the two lower guiding slots of the lower base, two ends of another lower link rod are configured to be connected to the lower base by sliding along the two lower guiding slots; two ends of one of the upper link rods are respectively secured onto one end of the two upper guiding slots of the top base, two ends of another upper link rod are configured to be connected to the top base by sliding along the two upper guiding slots; and a control screw is installed between the two upper link rods for controlling movement of the lifting mechanism. 
     
     
         7 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein the control screw is configured to be operated manually or electrically. 
     
     
         8 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 6 , wherein an end of the control screw has a knob, another end of the lower member has a through slot connected to the assembly space, one sidewall of the accepting space has a through groove connected to the through slot, and the knob of the control screw passes through the through slot and the through groove. 
     
     
         9 . The adjustable pillow as claimed in  claim 8 , wherein the lower member further has a limiting recess around an outer end of the through slot, a hollow tube is disposed in front of the through groove of the upper member for accepting the knob and the control screw, the hollow tube is jacketed by an external sleeve, an end of the external sleeve has a socket corresponding to the knob, and another end has an enlarged end abutting the hollow tube.
