Abstract

A packet for smoking articles includes: a group of smoking articles; a container having a containing portion for receiving the smoking articles, wherein an empty space, devoid of smoking articles, is defined in the containing portion; a covering body of said container having a tubular wall extending along a reference axis, within which the container is inserted and configured for moving along the reference axis, between a safety position wherein the container is in a retracted condition within the covering body and access to the group of smoking articles is impeded, and a use position wherein the container is in an extracted condition with respect to the covering body for providing access to the group of smoking articles. The packet may include a blocking system arranged to prevent movement of the container from the safety position to the use position and to enable this movement via an unlocking element.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A packet for smoking articles, comprising:
a group of smoking articles; a container comprising a containing portion inside which the group of smoking articles is received, wherein an empty space, devoid of smoking articles, is defined in the containing portion; a covering body of said container, comprising a tubular wall extending along a reference axis, within which the container is inserted, and configured for moving along the reference axis, between a safety position, in which the container is in a retracted condition within the covering body and access to the group of smoking articles is impeded, and a position of use, in which the container is in an extracted condition with respect to the covering body for providing access to the group of smoking articles; wherein the containing portion of the container comprises a blocking element, which is positioned by the empty space of the containing portion; an abutment arranged on an inner side of the tubular wall of the covering body, wherein the blocking element engages the abutment for impeding movement of the container from the safety position to the position of use; wherein an unlocking element is defined on the tubular wall of the covering body, which is in a position facing the blocking element when the container is in the safety position and is mobile for pushing the blocking element into the empty space so as to disengage the blocking element from the abutment and allow the container to move from the safety position to the position of use.

2 . The packet according to claim 1 , wherein:
the containing portion of the container comprises an extraction opening for extracting smoking articles of the group of smoking articles; the container comprises a lid, which is connected to the containing portion, and is mobile with respect to the containing portion between a closed position, in which the lid closes the extraction opening of the containing portion, thus impeding access to the smoking articles, and an open position, in which the access to the group of smoking articles through the extraction opening of the containing portion is allowed; in the safety position, the tubular wall of the covering body impedes movement of the lid from the closed position to the open position.

3 . The packet according to claim 2 , wherein the lid is connected to the containing portion along a hinge line.

4 . The packet according to claim 1 , wherein the containing portion comprises a bottom and a tubular side wall raising from the bottom; wherein the empty space of the container that is devoid of smoking articles is formed between the bottom and the group of smoking articles.

5 . The packet according to claim 4 , comprising a support wall which is parallel to the bottom of the containing portion and receives the group of smoking articles resting thereon; the empty space of the container that is devoid of smoking articles being formed between the bottom of the containing portion and the support wall.

6 . The packet according to claim 4 , wherein the blocking element is defined on the tubular side wall of the containing portion, and is made by a cut defining an edge protruding towards an outside of the containing portion itself.

7 . The packet according to claim 6 , wherein the tubular side wall of the containing portion comprises a missing portion that partially surrounds the blocking portion.

8 . The packet according to claim 1 , wherein the blocking element laterally delimits, at least partially, the empty space devoid of smoking articles.

9 . The packet according to claim 1 , wherein the unlocking element is defined by one or more cuts that define a yielding region towards the inside-inner side of the tubular wall of the covering body.

10 . The packet according to claim 1 , wherein on the inner side of the tubular wall of the covering body a stroke-end element is made, which is configured to engage the blocking element of the container when the container reaches the position of use, and to arrest in this position of use movement of the container when the container is moved from the safety position to the position of use.

11 . The packet according to claim 10 , wherein the covering body comprises an inner wall, which is positioned against the tubular wall of the covering body, and defines a first edge transversal to the reference axis, said first edge defining the abutment.

12 . The packet according to claim 11 , wherein the inner wall comprises an opening defining a second edge transversal to the reference axis and spaced apart from the first edge, wherein the second edge defines the stroke-end element.

13 . The packet according to claim 12 , wherein an intermediate wall sets itself between the tubular wall and the inner wall.

14 . A blank comprising a perimetral edge and folding lines for making a container of a packet according to claim 1 .

15 . A blank comprising a perimetral edge and folding lines for making a covering body of a packet according to claim 1 .
